A Rainha Vermelha – Victoria Aveyard ( The Red Queen)

Este livro foi indicado por uma amiga do trabalho, a Marina. Sua empolgação era tanta que eu passei ele na frente na lista de compras hehe, e também porque ele não estava tão caro. Como a versão português estava mais barata acabei pegando ela.
(Qual o preço de um livro não caro pra mim? Bem, considero que livros abaixo de 30 reais são baratos, mas sempre que possível tento achar volumes abaixo de 20. A maioria do que compro geralmente é abaixo de 20, assim posso comprar mais livros)
O único inconveninente da leitura foi saber que terei que esperar pelos próximos dois volumes da história por um tempo ainda. o próximo livro, Glass Sword (Espada de Vidro), vai ser lançado nos EUA em fevereiro de 2016 e a terceira parte eu ainda não sei quando. O pior agora é que como peguei o primeiro volume em português vou ter q pegar 2o e 3o em português também para completar a coleção, mas duvido muito que aguente a tradução do segundo sair. Vou acabar comprando a versão em inglês no kindle. Eu me conheço.
Quando comecei a lê-lo já fui achando pronto outro livro estilo A Seleção, só que não, eu estava completamente enganada.
No começo você até pensa isso por termos rei, rainha, príncipes e uma plebéia se relacionando com eles no palácio, e também porque na descrição vc lê algo sobre jogo mas as semelhanças acabam por aí, e não há nenhum jogo.
Nessa história, a sociedade é dividida de acordo com seu tipo de sangue. Existem pessoas que possuem o sangue prateado, e por possuirem esse tipo de sangue, tem poderes especiais. Já as pessoas de sangue vermelho, que não possuem nada de especial acabaram sendo diminuídas a servos dos prateados.
Mare é uma vermelha que após cruzar com um desconhecido num bar, tentar roubá-lo e acabar abrindo seu coração a respeito de toda necessidade que sua família está enfrentando, consegue um emprego no palácio real, e irá conhecer e se relacionar com os dois príncipes que moram lá, Cal e Maven.
Eu realmente achei que a história era bobinha pois ela fica meio dividida entre os príncipes e coisa e tal, mas não é não. A autora joga com você. Ela faz tudo parecer bobinho, mas o que está acontecendo na verdade é bem sério. A história é bem séria, e por mais que você pense que rolará romance puro, de romance mesmo a história tem bem pouco. A trama tem muitas reviravoltas e você, assim como a narradora, se sente em constante perigo.
“Todo mundo pode trair todo mundo” Essa é a frase da história. E você vai sentir realmente que todo mundo a toda hora pode trair Mare.É meio agonianteo sentimento, e eu confesso que queri terminar logo o livro pois queria saber se realmente alguém estava traindo alguém tanto quanto o sentimento dizia.
Eu teria demorado menos de uma semana para lê-lo. Acho que conto uns 4 dias sentando para terminar a leitura, mas por conta de acontecimentos tristes na minha família acabei demorando 2 semanas para conseguir chegar no fim.No fim o livro acabou sendo um passatempo eficaz na arte da distração num momento tão difícil.
Gostei do final e acho que foi um gancho legal para o próximo volume começar. Dedos cruzados para Victoria não nos decepxionar no final da trilogia assim como a Veronica Roth fez em Divergente.

OK, Eu fui completamente tapeada and não consegui prever a tremenda reviravolta do final do livro. Eu realmente cheguei a achar que a autora iria transformar o previsível prícipe bonzinho em mal. Que ele seria um grande traidor e coisa e tal, mas não.
Eu gostei da escolha dela em não desenvolvar o romance entre o casal previsível Mare-Cal e de ela ainda ter adicionado uma pedra bem grande no caminho dos dois.
“Cal me traiu e eu o traí. E você traiu nós dois, de mil maneiras diferentes. – As palavras são duras como uma rocha, mas certas. Certíssimas. – Não escolho ninguém.” E quando eu li esse trecho eu pensei é isso, eu gosto desta autora.
Espero que a história se torne uma de minhas trilogias preferidas assim como Jogos Vorazes. Por enquanto, é esperar e ver como as coisas se acontecerão.

PARA ESTUDANTES DE INGLÊS
Li o livro em português, mas pelos comentários que tive de quem leu no original e até mesmo pelo tipo de texto, eu diria que a leitura é para alunos intermediários. É necessário saber um pouco mais que um iniciante para acompanhar os acontecimentos, porém o livro não é difícil e não possui tantas terminologias complicadas.

This book was indicated by a co-worker, Marina. Her excitement was so big that I had to move this one first place on my buying list hehe, and I did it because it wasn’t that expensive al well. As the Portuguese version ended up being cheaper I bought it.
(What’s a cheaper book price? Well, I consider that books below 30 reais are cheap, but whenever it’s possible I try to find volumes below 20 reais. The majority of the books I buy are usually below 20, that way I can buy more books)
The only reading inconvenient was to know that I’ll have to wait for the next two volumes of this series for a while. The next book, Glass Sword, will only be released in the USA in February 2016, and the third one I still don’t know when will be released. The worst is that as I ended up buying the Portuguese version, I’ll have to wait to buy the 2nd and 3rd in Portuguese too so I can complete my collection, but I doubt that I can stand the translation to be released. I’ll probably buy the English version on kindle. I know myself pretty well.
when I started to read it I thought Oh God another The Selection, but not the case, I was completely wrong.
In the beginning you even think it because we have a king, a queen, princes and a plebeian interacting in the palace, and because you read on the description of the book something about a game, but the similarities end up there, and there’s no game on the story.
In this story, the society is divided by their kind of blood. There are people who have silver blood, and because they have this kind of blood, they have special powers. Then you have people that have red blood, and because they don’t have anything special on them, they are diminished and became servants of the silver ones.
Mare is a red blood that after crossing with an unknown in a bar, tried to steal from him, and ended up opening her heart to him and telling how much in need your family was, gets a job on the palace, and she will then meet and build a relationship with both princes that live there, Cal and Maven.
I really thought the story would be silly because OK she would be divided between the princes and all the stuff that comes with it, but it’s not that. The author plays with you. She makes everything to look silly, but in fact what’s happening is pretty serious. the story is pretty serious, and even you thinking that you’ll only see pure romance, the romance itself is little. The plot has many twists and you, as the narrator, feels constantly in danger.
“Anyone can betray anyone”. this is the quote of the book. You’ll feel really that everybody every time can betray Mare. It’s kind of an agonizing feeling, and I confess that I wanted to finish the book because I really wanted to know if someone was really betraying her as the feeling was telling me.
I would finish it in less than a week. I could say I ended up reading it in like 4 days of sitting and reading, but because of some sad happenings in my familyI spend 2 weeks to get to the end. The book’s end became an effective distraction in a hard time.
I liked the end and I think the hook left for the next book beginning really cool. Fingers crossed for Victoria not disappoint us with the end of the trilogy ad Veronica Roth did with Divergent.

OK, I was completely fooled and could not see the tremendous twist in the end of the book. I really thought the author would turn the predictable good prince into the bad. That he was the big traitor, but not.
I liked that she chose not to develop the romance between the predictable couple Mare-Cal and that she even added a big rock on the road of this two.
“Cal betrayed me and I betrayed him. And you betrayed us both, in a thousand times. – The words are hard like a rock, but right. Pretty right. – I choose none.” And when I ready this quote I thought, that’s it, I like this author.
I hope the story becomes one of my favourite trilogies like the Hunger Games. For now, let’s wait and see how things will be developed.
