A Culpa é das Estrelas – John Green (The fault in our stars)

Esse é definitavamente um livro que comecei a ler pensando que já sabia o final, pois pra mim seria obviamente a mesma coisa de Um Amor pra Recordar do Nicholas Sparks, mas eu acabei me surpreendendo, pois o livro não foi tão obviamente o que eu achei.
A história é narrada pela Hazel Grace, uma menina de 16 anos com câncer num estágio bem avançado. Você sabe, fato, desde o começo da história que não há esperança pra ela de muitos anos de vida, e enfim, ela está tentando aproveitar os meses/dias/tempo que lhe resta da melhor forma. Ou bem, da forma que os pais dela acham que seja a melhor. É interessante todo o contexto e pensamento do livro, pois ele retrata o que uma pessoa doente pensa das pessoas que estão ao ser redor. No caso, Hazel sempre se esforça pra diminuir o sofrimento dos pais, os quais são a única forma de amor conhecida por ela em seus poucos anos de vida.E é por amor a eles que ela começa a frequentar um grupo de apoio com jovens vítimas de câncer como ela, e é lá que ela conhecerá Augustus Walters, ou simplesmente Gus e seu pouco tempo de vida se tornará inesquecível.
Hazel compartilha com Augustus seu livro preferido, e após a leitura eles tentam contactar o autor, que mora em Amsterdã e nunca mais escreveu nenhuma outra obra, e grande parte dos acontecimentos do livro se dará a partir disso.
Ler o livro me deixou pensando por muito tempo a respeito da vida, do amor, de tudo que vale a pena, de tudo que não vale a pena, o tamanho dos infinitos (leitores entenderão essa sacada do infinito)…foi uma experiência gratificante. Chorei, é claro que chorei, não tem como ler e não derramar pelo menos uma lágrima.

Se você meu/minha amigo(a) leu o livro com certeza entendeu a frase “That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt” quando o nosso querido Gus descobre que morrerá antes da Hazel.
O livro é muito tocante pois retrata a realidade de pessoas jovens que sabem que tem pouco tempo de vida, e como elas gastam esse tempo. Poderia ser eu, poderia ser você, e enfim, você consegue entender um pouco da situação da pessoa e dos envolvidos passam ao longo da história, suas reações, pensamentos e ações.
A leitura vale muito a pena como reflexão de vida, como avaliaçao de se você está realmente aproveitando o seu infinito.
OBS:O filme foi bem adapatado e fora algumas partes bem pequenas ficou perfeitinho. Tudo de importante do livro tá lá mesmo que não no mesmo lugar ou na mesma hora. Desafio alguma lady a ler e não se apaixonar pelo jeito gostoso de ser do Augustus. E devo deixar registrado que para mim o ator, o Ansel Elgort, foi o perfeito Augustus. A Hazel da Shailene Woodley é bem massa tbém, mas pra mim o Ansel roubou a cena no filme.

This is definitely the book I started to read thinking I already knew the end, because for me it would obviously be the same thing as A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks, but I ended up being surprised because the book was not so obviously like I imagined.
The story is narrated by Hazel Grace,a 16 year old girl with cancer on a very advanced stage. You know, in fact, since the beginning of the story that there’s no hope of many years of life for her, and well, she’s trying to live the months/days/time she still has the best way she can. Or, the way her parents think is the best way. It’s interesting to see the whole context and thinking of the book, because it represents what a sick person thinks about the people that are around her. On this case, Hazel always push her to make her parents suffering less painful, since they are the only kind of love she knew her entire life. And its because she loves them so much that she accepts to attend a supporting group of young cancer victims, and it’s there she will meet Augustus Walters, or simply Gus and her few lifetime will become unforgettable.
Hazel shares with Augustus he favourite book, and after he reads it they try to contact the author, who lives in Amsterdam and never wrote another book. Big part of the book story will happen from this moment on.
Reading this book left me thinking for a long time about life, love, all that is worth, all that is not worth, the size of the infinities (readers will understand this infinity thing)…it was a gratifying experience. I cried, of course I cried, because there’s no way you’ll read the book without having at least a tear drop escaping from your eyes.

If you, my friend, read this book you’ll definitely understand the phrase “That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt” when our beloved Gus discovers he’s going to die before Hazel.
The book is so touching because it tells the reality of young people that have few time of life, and how they spend this few time. It could be me, it could be you, and well, you are able to understand a little bit of the person’s situation and the involved throughout the story, their reactions, thoughts and actions.
The reading is worthy for life reflection, as an evaluation if you’re really enjoying your infinity or not.
OBS: The movie was very well adapted and apart some small details it was perfect for me. All that matters from the books is there. Not on the same place or order but it is. I dare some lady of reading it and not fall in love by the nice way of being of Augustus. I should let registered that for me, the actor, Ansel Elgort, was the perfect Augustus. Hazel from Shailene Woodley is pretty good too, but for me Ansel stole the scene.
