O fascínio pelas Bruxas e Os Melhores Livros (The Witches Fascination and The Best Books)

O Halloween foi ontem, e eu queria aproveitar o dia para deixar registrado o meu fascínio pelas bruxas.
Desde pequena eu sempre lembro de ter gostado da figura da bruxa. Embora elas sejam retratadas como má na maioria das lendas etc, eu nunca tive medo realmente da figura da bruxa em si. Coisa que por exemplo não acontece com palhaços. Eu tenho muito medo de palhaços.
Lembro de amar os livros da Bruxa Onilda, como já comentei aqui no blog, e lembro de assistir insanamente o filme do Abracadabra quando saiu. Eu tinha verdadeira adoração pela bruxinha da Sarah Jessica Parker, e arrisco-me a dizer que eu curto ela até hoje por esse papel, e olha que adoro Sex and the City e tudo mais, mas a bruxinha me marcou demais.
E quando li Wicked!? Pirei, eu simplemente pirei pela história. Eu sou fã máxima da Elphaba desde então.
E a Morgana da lenda do Rei Arthur? AMO! E devo dizer que a história das Brumas de Avalon é uma das minhas preferidas até hoje.
Duvido, mas duvido mesmo que se você ler Wicked ou as Brumas não se apaixone de alguma forma pelo mundo bruxo.
E Harry Potter? Ok…acho que aqui encerro meu caso. Eu tenho verdadeira adoração pelo mundo bruxo e acho que ninguém conseguiu descrever um mundo bruxo e fazer as pessoas terem simpatia por ele como JK Rowling.
Eu sei que Halloween não é um feriado brasileiro, não é da nossa cultura, mas tenho que dizer que por sempre ver filmes e ler livros em que ele aparecia, foi muito legal ter vivido um ano nos EUA e presenciado um Halloween de verdade. Minha opinião é que nós brasileiros deveríamos ter algo assim em que as crianças se divertissem tanto. Não consigo pensar em nenhum dia que proporcione isso pra elas aqui no Brasil.

Halloween was yesterday, but I wanted to take the chance to let registered my fascination about witches.
Since I was a little kid I always remember liking the figure of a witch. Although they are portrayed as bad on most of the legends etc, I was never afraid of them. This is something that does not happen with clowns. I’m really scared of clowns.
I remember loving Onilda’s Witch books, as I mentioned here before, and I remember me insanely watching the Hocus Pocus movie when it was released. I had a big admiration for the little Sara Jessica Parker witch, and I dare saying I like her (Sarah) until today because of this character, that after watching Sex and the City and all, but this little witch got me long before.
And when I read Wicked!? I freaked out, I simply loved the story! and I’m a huge fan of Elphaba since then.
And what about Morgana and the Arthur’s legend? LOVE! And I should say that the Mists of Avalon is one of my favourite stories until today.
I doubt, but I doubt huge that if you read Wicked or The Mists you won’t fall in love by the witch world somehow.
And Harry Potter? OK…I rest my case. I have true passion by the witch world and I believe none could describe it better and also make people have more sympathy by it than JK Rowling.
I know that Halloween is not a Brazilian holiday, it’s not from our culture, but I have to say that because I always watched movies and read books where it was present, I thought really cool the year I lived in the US and saw a true Halloween. My opinion is that we Brazilian should have something where the kids have that fun and interaction. I can’t think about anything here that fills these requirements in Brazil.
