Depois de Você – Jojo Moyes (After You)

Eu até agora não sei dizer se gostei ou não de tudo que aconteceu com a Louiza depois do Will. Parte da história é exatamente igual ao que eu imaginei que ela passaria. Mas a outra parte da história foi tão fantástica que sei lá, achei muito surreal que isso realmente acontecesse com ela.
O que posso dizer é que mesmo sem ter certeza se gostei ou não de tudo que aconteceu, eu li o livro praticamente em um fim de semana. Achei a leitura deliciosa e o texto flui duma maneira que você, achando absurdo ou não o que está acontecendo, não consegue parar de ler.
Eu fiquei tão entretida com todos os milhões de questionamentos da Lou ao longo dos acontecimentos que por vezes até esquecia o que realmente estava acontecendo, só focava no que ela estava sentindo. É bem emocionante ela conversando com Will em sua cabeça aqui e ali.
Ah, vale muito a pena ler! Não acho que tenha prejudicado em nada a história do primeiro, que sem dúvida nenhuma é melhor. Esse livro funciona mais como um anexo do que como uma continuação da história do primeiro. E honestamente, se você quiser ignorar tudo que leu quando terminar e lembrar só do primeiro livro também dá. Vai super do gosto.

PS. Aguardando ansiosamente para ver a capa do filme no livro. Ainda não fui em nenhuma livraria que tivesse. Tô pensando com meus botões que vou ter que comprá-la em algum momento assim como fiz com A Culpa é das Estrelas, daí fico com a capa original em português e compro a com a capa do filme em inglês.

Lou sofrendo com a morte de Will, ela entrando novamente na mesma zona de conforto que estava antes dele, se esconder nos problemas dos outros para não enfrentar os próprios, até mesmo o acidente burro que ela tem, tudo isso era algo que você poderia totalmente prever quando imaginesse a história dela depois dele. Até o romance dela com o Sam é algo previsível já que a vida segue e com certeza você vai conhecendo pessoas novas. Mas o que nunca em momento algum ninguém imaginaria é que Jojo ia jogar uma filha de Will do nada na história.
Achei plausível a história de porque ele não sabia que tinha a filha e tudo mais, mas sei lá, tudo me pareceu tão surreal que não achei legal.
Gostei bastante da interação dela com os pais de Will, mas mesmo tendo gostado disso acho que essa parte da história poderia perfeitamente ter sido descartada do livro justamente por todo esse apelo surreal que ela tem.
Novamente eu repito, mesmo não concordando totalmente com essa parte da história eu achei o livro muito legal e li sem ver o tempo passar de tão gostosa que foi a leitura, o que me leva a afirmar que nem sempre você precisa concordar com tudo que acontece para ter uma leitura agradável.

Until now I can not say if I liked or not everything that happened with Louiza after Will. Part of the story is exactly as I imagined it would be . But the other part of the story was so fantastic that I do not know, I thought really surreal to have it happening to her.
What I can say is that even not being sure if I liked or not everything that happened, I read the book on a weekend. I thought the reading was delicious and the text flows in a way that you, thinking it’s absurd or not what happens, you can not stop reading.
I was so absorbed with all the millions of questions from Lou over the events that sometimes I even forgot what was really going on, I was just focused on what she was feeling. It is very touching she talking to Will in her head here and there.
Oh, it’s really worth reading! I do not think it hurt anything from the first story, which no doubt is better. This book works more as an attachment rather than a continuation of the story from Me Before You. And honestly, if you want to ignore everything you read when finished and remember only the first book, it works. It will depend on your preferences.

PS. I’m eagerly waiting to see the cover of the movie in the book. I didn’t visit any bookstore yet, so I did not have the chance. I’m thinking to myself, that I’ll have to buy it at some point, and I can do it same way I did with The Fault in Our Stars, I get the original cover in Portuguese and then I buy the book with the cover of the film in English.

Lou suffering from the death of Will, she entered again in the same comfort zone that was before him, hiding the problems of others not to face their own, even the stupid accident that she has all this was something you could totally predict when imaginesse her story after him. Even the romance her with Sam is something predictable as life goes on and you’re sure to meet new people. But that never at any time no one could imagine is that Jojo would throw a Will daughter’s nothing in history.
I plausible story because he did not know he had a daughter and everything, but you know, everything seemed so surreal that I did not think cool.
I really liked the interaction of her with Will’s parents, but even having liked that I think this part of the story might well have been ruled out of the book precisely for this entire surreal appeal it has.
Again I repeat, even not agreeing completely with that part of the story I found very cool book and read without seeing the time pass so good it was reading, which leads me to say that you do not always have to agree with everything that happens to have a nice reading.
