Maze Runner Prova de Fogo – James Dashner ( The Scorch Trials)

OBS: Se você ainda não leu o 1o livro de Maze Runner, provavelmente não deveria ler nada a respeito deste segundo livro já que poderá estar lendo spoilers com respeito a história como um todo.

 

O segundo livro é o mais tenso dos 3. Sim sim, eu já terminei o 3o livro e farei um post sobre ele também, só pra vocês terem ideia de quão desconcertante é não saber o que acontece, acabei lendo os 3 em menos de 1 semana. A questão é, uma vez que você começou meu amigo, não dá pra parar. Por isso, nem pense em comprar os livros separados. Você morrerá de agonia se fizer isso. Eu comprei o box com os 5 livros – 3 da trilogia e mais 2 de material extra.

Bem, neste segundo livro você descobrirá que ao saírem do Labirinto, os meninos descobrem que não estão sozinhos nos experimentos a que parecem estar sendo submetidos. Havia outro labirinto igual no qual os mesmos experimentos foram conduzidos com meninas. Um vez que descobrem isto, os membros do CRUEL dizem ter infectado todos eles com o vírus do FULGOR (um vírus mega boga power que se espalha pelo ar e destrói o cérebro em pouco tempo levando a pessoa a loucura), e os mandam através de um transportal para um lugar muito pior que o labirinto. Eles terão que percorrer um deserto em busca de um lugar no qual o CRUEL diz estar a cura para o FULGOR. Se fracassarem todos morrerão.

É só impossível de largar o livro. Você fica a todo momento se perguntando, isso é o CRUEL ou isso é real? Isso foi feito pelo CRUEL ou é algo aleatório acontecendo? Essa pessoa está fazendo isso por causa do CRUEL ou nem? É desconcertante. Você precisa chegar ao final o quanto antes pois sofre junto com todos para saber se realmente há uma esperança.

As palavras no final deste livro são exatamente tudo que eles viverão neste lugar deserto e na 2a etapa do experimento terrível conduzido pelo CRUEL. Ao ler vá tentando relacioná-las com a história.

Pra mim a parte mais difícil deste livro é entender Tereza. Ela é a traidora da história (porque o CRUEL quis), mas por muitas vezes aparenta não ser. Assim como Thomas você ficará muito confuso acerca das reais intenções dela, e o pior, nunca saberá se é ela mesma ou o CRUEL por trás de tudo que ela faz.
Jorge e Brenda são outro fator que você questiona pela história toda, e fica desconfiado de que eles não são apenas Cranks (pessoas normais que contrairam o vírus do Fulgor). Daí quando você descobre que eles fazem parte do CRUEL fica tudo meio confuso. No fim você vai acabar entendendo o papel dos dois na história, mas isso é assunto para o 3o livro.
Apesar disso, eu super gostei da Brenda se apaixonar pelo Thomas. Foi bem fofo.

The second book is the most tense of 3. Yes yes, I have finished the third book and I’ll write a post about it too, in order you can have an idea of how confusing it is not know what happens, I had to read the 3 of them in less than 1 week. The question is, once you start, my friend, you can not stop. So do not even think of buying the books separately. You will die in agony if you do. I bought the box with books 5 – 3 of the trilogy and 2 more extra material.

Well, in this second book you will find out that when the boys get out of the maze, they discover they are not alone in the experiments that seem to be in place. There was another equal maze in which the same experiments were conducted with girls. Once they discover this, members of the W.I.C.K.E.D. said to have infected all of them with the virus of The Flare (a mega boga power virus that spreads through the air and destroys the brain in a short time causing the person madness), and send them through one portal to a much worse place than the maze. They will have to go through a desert in search of a place where the W.I.C.K.E.D. said to be the cure for the Flare. If they fail all of them will die.

It’s just impossible to put down the book. You get all the time wondering, is this the W.I.C.K.E.D. or is this real? This was done by the W.I.C.K.E.D. or something random is going on? This person is doing this because of the W.I.C.K.E.D. or not? It’s confusing. You need to reach the end as soon as possible because you suffer with all the characters to find out if there’s really hope.

The words at the end of this book are exactly all they live in this desert place and the second stage of the terrible experiment conducted by the W.I.C.K.E.D.. When reading go trying to relate them to the story.

For me the hardest part of this book is to understand Tereza. She is the traitor of the story (because W.I.C.K.E.D. wanted), but often she does not appear to be. Just like Thomas you will be very confused about her true intentions, and the worst, you’ll never know if it’s herself or the W.I.C.K.E.D. behind everything she does.
Jorge and Brenda are another factor that you question the whole story, and you become suspicious that they are not only Cranks (normal people who contracted the Flare). Then when you discover that they are part of the W.I.C.K.E.D. is all a bit confusing. At the end you will end up understanding the role of both in the story, but this is subject to the third book.
Despite it, I totally liked Brenda falling for Thomas. Super cute.
