Simon vs a agenda Homo Sapiens – Becky Albertalli (Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda)

Estou simplesmente apaixonada por este livro  e por Simon e Blue assim como fiquei por Simon e Baz quando li Carry On  da Rainbow Rowell. Acho que este será o  1º livro lido este ano que vai entrar para a minha lista de melhores de 2017. Ou seja, por aí dá pra imaginar o quanto eu gostei.

Simon é um amigo que eu gostaria de ter tido na época do colégio.  Ele é uma pessoa super positiva, amiga, sociável, enfim, a história é narrada pelo ponto de vista dele e acho que isso agregou muito para tudo que a autora quis passar.

Tudo começa quando um menino (Martin) da escola consegue tirar prints de emails secretos que Simon troca com outro menino com o pseudonimo de Blue pois ele esquece de deslogar do seu email como usa o computador da escola.  Este menino começa a chantagear Simon dizendo que se ele não o ajudar a sair com uma de suas melhores amigas ele irá mostrar a prova de que Simon é gay para toda a escola.

Simon então ajuda mas ao mesmo tempo não ajuda. É engraçado de acompanhar e você terá muito sentimentos a respeito do Martin (raiva, dó, confusão…).

Agora o que com certeza vai acontecer é você se apaixonar por Blue junto com Simon. É simplesmente muito fofo acompanhar o romance dos dois nas trocas de emails.

O grande mistério é descobrir quem é Blue. Simon tem suas desconfianças, mas será que ele está certo? Leiam e se surpreendam tanto quando eu.

A história vale a pena por n motivos. Pelos personagens fofos, pelas temáticas muito bem abordadas. Nós vemos muita reflexão a respeito de orientação sexual e modelos ideológicos.

Aliás, preciso registrar que gostei tanto desta história que fiz o primeiro vídeo falando sobre esse livro.

I am simply in love with this book and by Simon and Blue as I was by Simon and Baz when I read Carry On  by Rainbow Rowell. I think this will be the 1st book read this year that will enter to my list of best of 2017. So, there you can imagine how much I liked it.

Simon is a friend I wish I had had in high school. He is a super positive person, friendly, sociable, anyway, the story is told from his point of view and I think it added a lot to everything the author wanted to tell.

It all starts when a boy (Martin) from school gets prints of secret emails that Simon exchanges with another boy with the pseudonym of Blue because he forgets to log off from his email when he access it in the school computer. This boy begins to blackmail Simon by saying that if he does not help him out with one of his best friends he will show proof that Simon is gay for the whole school.

Simon then helps but at the same time doesn’t help. It’s funny to follow and you’ll have a lot of feelings about Martin (anger, pity, confusion …).

Now what is clear that will happen is you falling in love with Blue along with Simon. It’s just too cute to follow their romance in all the email exchanges.

The big mystery is finding out who Blue is. Simon has his suspicions, but is he right? Read and be as surprised as I was.

The story is worth it for n reasons. For the cute characters, for the themes very well addressed. We see a lot of reflection about sexual orientation and ideological models.

I must register that I enjoyed this story so much that I recorded the first video talking about this book. As soon as I can upload I post the link here in the post. (it’s in Portuguese, but I intend on putting some subtitles and soon enough do them in English)
