Belo Sacrifício – Jamie Mcguire (Beautiful Sacrifice)

Os livros 3 e 4 da série falam respectivamente sobre Taylor e Tyler Maddox, e as ambas as histórias se passam no mesmo lugar praticamente pois os dois trabalham juntos no corpo de Bombeiros.

Os gêmeos Maddox têm as histórias mais legais eu diria. E bem mexicanonas. É aquele dramalhão de novela do início ao final, ainda mais neste livro do Belo Sacrifício.

O primeiro gêmeo (que havia aparecido em Bela Redenção) e que vamos conhecer a história é Taylor. Novamente a história é narrada pelo ponto de vista feminino, que é o de Falyn. Ela abandonou toda a riqueza e carreira que os pais gostariam que ela seguisse para trabalhar como garçonete na sua cidade Natal no Colorado. Sozinha e sem nenhum objetivo a não ser juntar dinheiro para buscar redenção numa viagem a Eakins, Illionois, ela vê o destino entrar pela porta do café quando Taylor e seu colegas bombeiros começam a frequentar o local na temporada de incêndios. Taylor se impressiona muito com ela, que a princípio não dá bola para seu charme, mas ao saber que Taylor é de Eakins, Falyn começa a se questionar se tudo que está acontecendo não é mesmo obra do destino em sua vida.

A história é interessante de ser lida pois Jamie conseguiu unir mistério, romance e drama na medida certa. Bem, eu diria que o drama excedeu um pouco as expectativas, mas tá valendo, pois o saldo ao final da leitura continua positivo. É um bom livro para se distrair e se divertir. Cenas quentes presentes e Jamie vai melhorando nesse quesito a cada livro. Além disso eu gostei bastante de ambas as histórias envolvendo os gêmeos, que por falar nisso tem até as suas personificações em carne e osso aprovadas pela própria Jamie.

Books 3 and 4 of the series talk about Taylor and Tyler Maddox respectively, and the two stories happen in the same place practically because the two work together as Firefighters.

The Maddox twins have the coolest stories, I would say. And they are totally Mexican soap opera style. It’s that kind of drama from beginning to end, even more in this Beautiful Sacrifice one.

The first twin (who appeared in Beautiful Redemption) and who we will know the story is Taylor. Again, the story is told from the girl point of view, on this case, Falyn. She abandoned all the good life and careers that her parents would like her to follow to work as a waitress in her Colorado hometown. Alone and with no purpose other than to raise money for redemption on a trip to Eakins, Illionois, she sees fate come through the door of the cafe when Taylor and his fellow firemen begin to go to the place in the fire season. Taylor is very impressed with her, which at first she knows it’s trouble so she doesn’t accept anything from him, but upon learning that Taylor is from Eakins, Falyn begins to wonder if everything that is happening is a work of fate in her life.

The story is interesting to read because Jamie has been able to unite mystery, romance and drama in the right measure. Well, I would say that the drama exceeded expectations a bit, but it’s worth it, because the balance at the end of the reading remains positive. It’s a good book to be entertained and have some fun with. Hot scenes are present and Jamie is getting better at this point with each book. In addition, I thoroughly enjoyed both stories involving the twins, who by the way have even their flesh-and-blood personifications endorsed by Jamie herself.
