Belo Funeral – Jamie Mcguire (Beautiful Funeral)

Belo Funeral

Vale a pena.

Algo Belo

Algo Belo – Jamie Mcguire

If you have not read the entire Maddox series before reading this post, you’ll definitely read some spoilers here.

Beautiful Disaster   Beautiful Oblivion   Beautiful Redemption   Beautiful Sacrifice   Beautiful Burn

In this book the background story that we follow on the other volumes will be solved.

We know about the fire incident at Travis College in Beautiful Disaster. Then, in the following books we will see that Thomas gets an agreement with the FBI so that Travis can provide information about the head of the trafficking Beni Carlisi, who is involved with his wife’s father in exchange for his freedom. He will then work with Thomas and get information for the case against the criminal.

11 years later they could catch him, but Travis loses his head and ends up killing Beni, which makes the Maddox family to be placed in danger since they become a target of the Carlisi family’s revenge.

The brothers must come together to protect themselves and their family, and the truth about their professions will finally be revealed. And we will see if they will be able to understand each other after so many lies kept for so long.

Anyway, I had great expectations for this final book, but the first thing I did not like about it is that the story is being told from the point of view of all the characters. I thought it was mixed, confused, I don’t know, I didn’t like it that way. I think Jamie should have kept the women’s point of view, which to me was one of the strengths of the other books.

The 2nd thing I didn’t like was the end. Some of its happenings are totally unnecessary and the “plan” in question in this last part was very naïve. I don’t think that after so many years FBI would make the mistakes I consider they did in this end.

Other than that, I don’t think I have much more to comment. There is a hot scene between Travis and Abby but for me it was totally unnecessary due to the climate of the story. Anyway, I thought Jamie was not able to dose drama / mystery / romance this time. But my friends, no one is perfect, right!? I still like her and recommend the series to anyone who is in the mood for good entertainment. It’s worth it.

Something Beautiful- Jamie Mcguire

From all the books, in my opinion, it’s the least worthwhile book if you think in terms of the main story of the series, but I have other reasons to find it dispensable.

In this book, we learn of some moments about America and Shepley’s story, how they met, their first date, and the most absurd part, a trip they make to America’s parents’ home. On this trip a hurricane will pass through the place they are traveling, and, travel is the name of everything that happens after that. I honestly thought we could have gone without everything that was narrated on it.

Anyway, I was not mad that I bought this book because I paid only 9.90 of it on a sale.
