Caixa de pássaros – Josh Malerman (Bird Box)

Um thriller psicológico muito viciante, e acho que posso dizer que um dos melhores que li este ano até agora.

O autor lida muito com a questão do medo e paranoia do ser humano mediante ao desconhecido.

A história começa com Malorie e seus dois filhos tentando fugir para um local seguro das tais criaturas que se vistas fazem você enlouquecer e se matar e/ou matar tudo que está ao seu redor. Eles tentam fazer isso de barco por um rio que passa perto da casa em que viviam, porém tudo o que fazem é de olhos vendados. Paralelo a isso começamos a acompanhar como era a vida de Malorie quando ela ainda morava com a irmã e os casos de pessoas vendo as tais criaturas aumentava dia após dia. Vemos Malorie procurando abrigo quando as criaturas tomam conta de sua cidade, e depois ela convivendo com várias pessoas dentro desta casa que ela deixa para fugir com os filhos para um local mais seguro.

Ela chega na casa grávida, e é amparada por vários moradores, dentre eles Tom, a pessoa que Malorie mais se afeiçoa após começar a viver no local.

E gente, você não consegue largar da história até descobrir o que aconteceu com Malorie e seus filhos e todas as pessoas que moravam com ela na casa.

Você termina o livro sem algumas respostas, mas acho que isso foi meio que proposital da parte do autor pois os debates a respeito do mistério principal, por exemplo, permeiam toda internet no momento.

Vale a pena conferir, e caso você queira uma versão filmada, a Netflix comprou os direitos para produzir o filme baseado no livro como mostra a reportagem dos links abaixo:

A very addictive psychological thriller, and I think I can say one of the best I’ve read this year so far.

The author shows a lot about the fear and paranoia of the human being facing the unknown.

The story begins with Malorie and her two children trying to go to a safe place to escape from those creatures that if  you see will make you go crazy and kill yourself and / or kill everything that is around you. They try to do this by boat through a river that passes near the house where they lived, but everything they do is blindfolded. Parallel to this we began to follow how Malorie’s life was when she still lived with her sister and the cases of people seeing such creatures increased day by day. We see Malorie looking for shelter when the creatures take care of her city, and then she living with several people inside this house that she leaves to escape with the children to a safer place.

She arrives pregnant in this house, and she is supported by several residents, among them Tom, the person that Malorie most get attached after starting to live in the place.

And folks, you can not let go of the story until you find out what happened to Malorie and her children and all the people who lived with her in the house.

You end the book without some answers, but I think  that the author did it on purpose because the debates about the main mystery, for example, are spread all over the internet.

It is worth checking, and in case you want a filmed version, Netflix bought the rights to produce the movie based on the book as shown in the news of the links below:
