Too late – Colleen Hoover

Este livro é diferente de todos os outros da Colleen. É mais picante, mais rude, e claramente mais impactante quando você o lê.

A Colleen o publicou primeiramente no Wattpad, assim como muitos escritores independentes fazem, e eu acredito que o principal motivo para ela ter feito isso foi por causa da diferença na escrita e no tema deste livro para os outros que ela já tem publicado. De qualquer forma, mesmo a escrita sendo um pouco diferente, a essencia dela é inconfundível.

Você é pego pela história do início ao fim, e claro que você termina o livro com a cara de UAU.

Há dois capítulos que podem se considerados finais para o livro, e eu não tenho certeza mas acho que Colleen deve ter escrito um deles e depois resolver continuar por mais alguns capítulos.

O livro conta a história de Sloan, uma garota que está na faculdade e que mora com Asa Jackson, um garoto que também está na faculdade porém é um traficante famoso, contra a sua vontade principalmente para manter o tratamento do seu irmão. Ela já foi apaixonada por Asa, mas ultimamente ela mantêm a relação apenas por não possuir suporte algum para manter os cuidados do seu irmão além da ajuda que Asa oferece.

Asa, por outro lado, sempre teve uma vida muito perturbada, e sabe que Sloan é a melhor coisa que já aconteceu na vida dela, então ele a mantêm perto como pode.

A história muda muito quando ambos conhecer Carter.

E isso é tudo que irei contar. Carter tem um conexão com Sloan e com Asa e a história será tão louca e doentia quanto você possa imaginar. Asa é um homem muito agressivo então podem esperar muitas cenas de violência envolvendo ele.

Não é o melhor da Colleen, mas se você gostou de todos os outros dela com certeza deve dar uma chance a este. Eu gostei bastante da leitura, mas não seria um livro dela que eu repetiria.

This is different than all the other books from Colleen. It’s spicier, it’s tougher, it sure has more impact when you read it.

Colleen first published it on Wattpad, like many independent writers, and I believe the main reason for that is because of the difference on her writing/ theme from this book to her others already published. Anyway, the writing may be a little bit different, but her essence is unmistakable.

You are caught by the story from the beginning to the end, and you finish it with a wow face.

There were two moments which could be considered as the end, so I’m not sure if she finished it and then decided to write some more chapters or whatever happened.

The book tells the story of Sloan, a college girl who lives with Asa Jackson, college boy and famous drug dealer, against her will mainly to keep her brother’s treatment. She once was in love with Asa, but lately she only keeps the relationship because she doesn’t have any support to take care of her brother than his.

Asa, on the other hand, always had a crazy life, and he knows Sloan is the best thing that ever happened to him, so he keeps her near him as he can.

The story changes a lot when they meet Carter.

And that’s all I’ll tell. Carter will have a connection with Sloan and with Asa, and the story is going to be as crazy and sick as you may imagine. Asa is a very aggressive man, so you can expect a lot of violent scenes involving him.

It’s not Colleen’s best but if you like her books you should give a try to this one. I enjoyed the reading, but it wouldn’t be the one I would read again.
