Com todo meu coração – CM Carpi

O que dizer do livro que desenvolveu a história do personagem que eu mais gostei quando li Por trás daqueles olhos e Por trás daqueles olhos para sempre?

Sim! Spin-off dele, Adam muso, deuso e perfeito, deixado para trás pela Elena (sorte da Sophie!)

Tudo bem que Elena achou outro deuso aí no caminho, mas Daniel nunca será, jamais será tão gentleman e gente boa quanto Adam é.

E aí entra a Sophie no meio, e gente, ela foi a surpresa desse spin-off. Eu confesso que pelo que havíamos conhecido dela nos 2 primeiros livros eu não havia formado uma opinião a respeito da personagem, mas depois de conhecermos a história de como ela e Adam acabaram juntos não tem como não se apegar.

Ela tem todo aquele jeitão da Cher de Patricinhas de Beverly Hills sabe!? E não consigo não pensar no Adam como o Paul Hudd dessa história, acho que combina super. Tudo bem que Adam é o quarterback, todo malhado e coisa e tal e o Paul Hudd não era nada disso no filme, mas pra mim foi mais o psicológico deles que deu match.

Voltando a história do livro, quando terminamos de ler Por trás daqueles olhos para sempre sabemos que Sophie e Adam estão de namorico e que Adam decidiu passar uma temporada em NYC, mas não temos tantos detalhes de como os dois acabaram se apaixonando um pelo outro e coisa e tal.

Neste livro descobriremos todos os detalhes, já que voltamos na história conhecendo o ponto de vista tanto de Sophie quanto de Adam desde o dia em que os dois se reencontraram quando foram visitar Elena no hospital.

Eles haviam se visto um vez, e ficaram um no pensamento do outro, mas depois do hospital Sophie se vê indo visitar Adam – que não para mais de pensar em Sophie – sem saber o motivo já no dia seguinte. A partir disso a ligação entre ambos irá crescer cada vez mais e Adam terá que superar alguns fantasmas do passado para decidir se realmente terá alguma chance de futuro com Sophie. Já Sophie terá que exercitar toda sua empatia e poder de perdão para que as coisas comecem a dar certo, pois Adam irá dar uma pisadas de bola aí por conta do seu histórico zuado.

Também pudera né gente, fazendo aqui o papel de advogada do Adam, o cara foi largado no altar, e agora se vê apaixonado pela irmã do namorado de sua ex-noiva. É de dar nó e medo na cabeça de qualquer um.  Sem contar todo o drama da vida dele envolvendo a morte do pai. O cara é meio zuado no campo afetivo e tem motivo pra isso. Sorte dele que Sophie o complementa em todos os seu medos e inseguranças.

Isso aliás é um dos pontos fortes do livro, já que você vê um relação de completude sendo desenvolvida.  Sophie e Adam tem personalidades diferentes, porém totalmente complementares uma a outra.  Sou suspeita para falar, mas pra mim CM Carpi caprichou muito nesta história. Você fica com carinha de <3 em muito mais momentos do que nos primeiros livros. Aquele tipo de história que você precisa pegar para lembrar de como foi bom se apaixonar pelo seu companheiro/marido/namorido/namorado.

E dá uma inspirada viu! Para mim as cenas mais quentes não deixaram nada a desejar das histórias da mestra Colleen Hoover. CM Carpi está ficando melhor a cada leitura. Confesso que estou ansiosa para ler sua próxima história. O que será que teremos?

What can I say about a book that finally developed the story of a character I liked most when I read The light in your eyes and The light in your eyes forever (no english version released yet)

Yes! A spin-off about him, Adam the hot guy, God and perfect, left behind by Elena (lucky Sophie!)

It’s OK that Elena found herself another God guy, but Daniel will never be as gentleman and nice as Adam is.

And then you had Sophie, and people, she was definitely the surprise of this spin-off. I confess I haven’t paid much attention to her on the 2 first books, but after you read this story of how she and Adam end up together there’s no way you won’t be attached to her.

She has this Cher from Clueless way of being, you know!? And I can’t think about Adam without relating him to Paul Hudd. OK, Adam is the quarterback, all fit and this kind of stuff, while Paul wasn’t anything similar to it in the movie, but for me the psicological part is the one that match.

But back to the story of the book, when we end The light in your eyes forever we know that Sophie and Adam are dating and that Adam decided to spend some time in NYC, but we don’t have details on how the two end up being in love for each other.

This book will make us discover those details, since we’re back at the story that we will know from Sophie’s and Adam’s point of view since the day the met each other again at the hospital when they visited Elena.

They had seen each other once, and both kept the other in mind, and on the following day after they met again at the hospital Sophie goes to visit Adam – who can’t stop thinking about Sophie – without knowing the reason. From this day on, the conection between them will grow even more and Adam will have to overcome some ghosts from his past to decide if he will have any future chance with Sophie. Sophie will need to exercise her empathy and forgiveness power so the things can start working out, since Adam will definitely screw up some times due to his messy historic.
Well, playing the Adam’s attorney part here, the guy was left at the altar, and now he finds himself in love with the sister of the guy who is now dating i=his ex-fianceé. It’s pitty and scary for anyone. Plus he have all the drama of his father’s death. The guy is messed up at the heart department and he has reasons to justify it. Lucky him Sophie will complement him in all his fears and insecurities.

That by the way, is one of the strongest points of the book, since you see this complement relationship being developed. Sophie and Adam have different personalities, but they are totally complementary to each other. I’m suspect to talk about it, but for me CM Carpi made some extra effort when writing this one. You stay with that <3 face in many more moments than the first books. It’s that kind of story you need to read to remember how good it was to fall in love with your boyfriend/husband/date.

And it’s hottly inspiring you know! My opinion, the hot scenes reminded me a lot of the Colleen Hoover’s ones. CM Carpi is getting better in each new text. I confess I’m anxious to read the next one. What will we have?
