Mais um livro da Colleen que me fez não ter paz e terminá-lo em praticamente 2 dias já que é impossível parar de ler.

Nele iremos acompanhar a história de Quinn e Graham, como eles se conheceram e a crise pela qual estão passando após anos de casados.

Os capítulos são divididos entre THEN (antes) e NOW (agora) e narrados sob o ponto de vista de Quinn – embora em determinada parte do livro teremos o ponto de vista de Gaham sobre alguns acontecimentos.

Os dois se conhecem de uma maneira bem inusitada e que eu duvido que você consiga imaginar antes de ler o livro.

Enfim, quando já estão juntos, todos sempre comentam o quanto eles são apaixonados e feitos um para o outro, mas após anos de casados e após viverem muitas situações frustrantes, os dois entram numa crise – invisível aos olhos das pessoas que convivem com eles porém forte o bastante para balançar o casamento e o  amor sólido que eles achavam que tinha um pelo outro.

Um livro que te mostra como a falta de comunicação, segredos e frustrações não dividas podem separar até mesmo as maiores almas gêmeas. Você aprende muito e principalmente entende que colocar todo o seu foco no que dá errado realmente não te leva a lugar algum.

O amor é colocado em teste e ambas as partes terão que se unir novamente para tentar reparar todo o estrago feito ao longo dos anos de displicência.

Você irá se ver assistindo a história do casal e torcendo para que as coisas de alguma forma se resolvam, sabe!? E é extremamente impossível, principalmente se você já é casado, não se identificar em algum ponto com as confissões da trama.

Com esse livro Colleen entrou pra mim no hall dos melhores autores de histórias adultas, já que assim como em É assim que acaba temos questões bem relevantes para a sociedade sendo discutidas no texto como um todo.  Ou seja,ela escreve bem new adult e young adult? Escreve. Porém está se mostrando cada vez mais apta a escrever histórias para adultos de fato.

Ansiosa pelo próximo livro que me fará não ter paz novamente. Colleen, nós te amamos, mulher!

 

Another  one from Colleen that took away my peace and that I finished reading in 2 days since it is impossible to stop reading.

We will follow the story of Quinn and Graham, how they met and the crisis they are going through after years of marriage.

The chapters are divided between THEN and NOW, and narrated from Quinn’s point of view – although in a certain part of the book we will have Gaham’s point of view on some events.

The two meet each other in a very unusual way and I doubt you can imagine it before reading the book.

Anyway, when they are already together, everyone always used to say how much they were passionate and made for each other, but after years of marriage, and after experiencing many frustrating situations, the two go into a crisis – invisible to the people who live with them however strong enough to shake the marriage and the solid love they thought they had for each other.

A book that shows you how lack of communication, secrets, and undivided frustrations can separate even the greatest soulmates. You learn a lot, and you mostly understand that putting your whole focus on what’s wrong really does not get you anywhere.

Love is put to the test and both parties will have to come together again to try to repair all the damage done over the years of displeasure.

You’ll see yourself watching the couple’s story and hoping things sort out, you know !? And it is extremely impossible, especially if you are already married, to not see yourself at some point in the confessions we read.

With this book Colleen went to my hall of the best authors of adult stories, since as well as in It ends With Us  we see issues that are very relevant to society being discussed in the text as a whole. So, does she write well new adult and young adult? Yes, she does. But she has becoming more and more able to actually write adult stories.

Looking forward to the next book that will make me have no peace again. Colleen, we love you, dear woman!
