Até que a culpa nos separe – Liane Moriarty (Truly Madly Guilty)

Liane vai apresentar uma versão imperfeita de amizade entre duas mulheres, Erika e Clementine, ao mesmo tempo que mostra diferentes versões de casamentos e o que aconteceu com cada um desses casais que iremos acompanhar após um fatídico churrasco em que todos estiveram.

Os fatos da história são apresentados em alternância entre o dia do churrasco e o presente de cada casal. Veremos o que cada um pensa a respeito do mesmo dia e dos mesmo acontecimentos.

É bem legal ver como cada personagem tem várias camadas, como eles são e como se mostram para as outras pessoas. E como sempre Liane consegue mostrar o que todos pensam mas nunca admitem nem pra eles mesmos. A gente se identifica , sabe!?

Vale muito a pena, o final tem revelações semi-bombásticas que farão seu queixo cair como todo bom livro da Liane, mas de um forma geral achei esse o livro um dos mais light dela. Tá competindo com o da Alice, que também tem uma temática mais light.

 

Liane will present an imperfect version of friendship between two women, Erika and Clementine, while showing different versions of weddings and what happened to each of these couples after a fateful barbecue in which everyone attented.

The facts of the story are presented alternating between the day of the barbecue and  the present for each couple. We will see what each one thinks about the same day and the same events.

It’s pretty cool to see how each character has multiple layers, how they are and how they show themselves to other people. And as always Liane can show what everyone thinks but never admit even to themselves. We recognize ourselves there, you know !?

The reading is worth, the ending has semi-bombastic revelations that will make your jaw drop like every good book wrote by Liane, but in a general way I believe this book is one of the lightest. It’s competing with the Alice one, which also has a lighter theme.
