Mil pedaços de você – Claudia Gray (A Thousand Pieces of You)

Fiquei curiosa para ler sobre o que seria essa história quando vi a capa maravilhosa do primeiro livro e assim que li o resuminho soube que teria que ler a trilogia, já que perseguição entre universos paralelos me lembrou demais de Fringe (a MELHOR série ever q fala sobre isso).

Marguerite sai junto com Theo Beck a caça de Paul Markov, um dos assistentes de seu pai acusado de matá-lo e fugir para outro universo paralelo com a tecnologia do Firebird, dispositivo desenvolvido pelos pais de Marguerite q possibilita a viagem entre os universos.
Marguerite não consegue entender como Paul foi capaz de fazer isso pois ele era a pessoa mais doce e boa que ela conhecia, ela estava meio que se apaixonando por ele.

Enfim, pra bom entendedor meio plot basta pra desconfiarmos que se Paul era assim tão bom alguma coisa está errada nessa história. Será que alguém não armou pra ele?

Se você curte histórias como a série de A Seleção, onde embora o pano de fundo seja super elaborado este não é tão desenvolvido já que o foco é o romance entre 2 protagonistas, com certeza irá adorar essa trilogia.

Claudia Gray conseguiu desenvolver um triângulo amoroso super fofo e interessante e é muito legal ver como ela passa a mensagem de que somos feitos de nossas escolhas ao longo dos 3 livros. Mas isso é história para o post dos próximos volumes Dez mil céus sobre você e Um Milhão de mundos com você.

I was curious to read about that story when I saw the wonderful cover of the first book, and as soon as I read the summary of it I knew that I would have to read the entire trilogy, since chasing between parallel universes reminded me too much of Fringe (the BEST series ever which talks about this).

Marguerite, along with Theo Beck, go hunting for Paul Markov, one of her father’s assistants accused of killing him and running away to another  parallel universe  thru the  Firebird, a device developed by Marguerite’s parents that enables travel between universes.
Marguerite can not understand how Paul was able to do this because he was the sweetest and best person she knew, she was kind of falling in love with him.

Anyway, for good understanding half plot is enough to suspect that if Paul was so good something is wrong in this story. Is it possible that someone set him up?

If you like stories like The Selection, where although the background is super elaborated, it is not so developed since the focus is the romance between 2 protagonists,  you will  definitely love this trilogy.

Claudia Gray has managed to develop a super cute and interesting love triangle and it’s really cool to see how she shows the message that we’re made of our choices over the course of  the three books. But that’s story for the next volumes post Ten thousand heavens above you and A Million worlds with you.
