Vale a pena! Leiam 😉

PS.

Another one from the series bad titles but good stories. I picked up this book because I wanted to read something from Vi Keeland and this one was on sale. Seriously, I never get tired to surprise myself by the Amazon prices. I’ve read so many good books that I picked up by a very  cheap price, and that was definitely one of them.

Reese is almost unemployed and looking for a date to call of her own, but she’s not lucky on doing any. It’s when on one of her bad dates, more precisely when she’s trying to get away from it that she meets Chase Parker. Chase ends up pretending to be an old friend from her high school days (even though they’ve never met before) and her once boring date becomes the most interesting of all she’s ever lived.

After the big date, she will come across Chase again and when she mentions that she is looking for a job he recommends a recruiting friend to help her. What they didn’t realize was that Reese gets hired for Chase’s company, so if they go on with their attraction to each other, they’ll end up in the famous boss / employee relationship.

Reese will be reluctant to be with Chase because of that, but people, with a guy like that there is no refutation. And do you know the best? He’s not a jerk, he doesn’t treat her badly, really, there’s nothing bad about him, plus he’s not the possessive rich that I’m tired of.

Obviously that in every good romance there is a bit of drama and in this story it would be no different. Reese will find out that Chase carries a trauma from his girlfriend’s death. And when this past is twisted by a present event she will have to be very strong to help him get over it.

A book with a light narrative – despite the light drama of the middle – and a lovable story . Vi’s writing is super fluid and you don’t want to stop reading (an essential characteristic for a romantic novel in my opinion), it’s a perfect story to pass time or not seeing the time pass hehehe. Super worth it! Read! 😉

PS. One of the only times I thought the international cover better than the Brazilian one. Let’s admit, this Brazil cover looks like it was made by the new intern of the publisher! Guys, make it better for God’s sake!
