Li esse segundo livro com as expectativas lá no alto depois do final de Playing for Keeps, o 1o livro da série Hot Jocks, e na boa, o livro superou tudo que esperei.

Owen e Becca são personagens adoráveis. Becca é aquele tipo de mulher que inspira porque apesar de toda merda que viveu ela não desiste e corre atrás do que quer (como todas nós deveríamos ser) e Owen, bem, Owen é aquele tipo de cara que todo mundo queria ter por perto pois é gente boa, companheiro, divertido e ainda por cima não mede esforços para ajudar quem ama (ele tem um gosto bem excêntrico na cama, mas a gente considera isso um adendum vai).

Tudo acontecerá alguns meses depois do final do primeiro livro. Por causa do seu trauma Becca não consegue ter contato físico com nenhum homem com quem tenta se relacionar (ela foi atacada na época em que estava na faculdade) . E pensando em mudar esse cenário pois ela deseja muito ter um relacionamento como qualquer outra pessoa normal, ela tem a ideia de pedir a algum amigo que a ajude. Talvez conhecendo a pessoa e confiando nela, ela então não entre em pânico caso haja contato físico, e se isso acontecer ela conseguirá se desprender da ideia de perigo e enfim poder conhecer o cara certo.

Ela acaba expondo essa ideia a Owen num dia de super bebedeira em que acaba tendo que dormir em sua casa.

Coisa irão acontecer entre esses dois nesta fatídica noite, e Owen não conseguirá mais tirar Becca e sua proposta da cabeça. A princípio ele não acha uma boa ideia, mas quanto mais pensa a respeito menos consegue resistir. E quando Becca insiste na ideia ele acaba cedendo, mesmo tendo enormes receios, já que tem gostos bem peculiares para sexo, e Becca precisa de alguém que consiga lhe dar o básico para remover todos os seus traumas.

Pessoal, o que posso dizer daqui pra frente é que é maravilhoso como Kendall consegue desenvolver uma história romântica e relevante. Esse casal irá se envolver e se apaixonar sem nem ao menos perceber que isso está acontecendo, e é tão lindo de se ver, ou melhor ler hehehe.

Eu recomendo demais a história, que em minha opinião superou e muito o primeiro livro.

E na boa, já encomendei o terceiro livro da série assim que terminei pois o trechinho desse 3o no final me deixou totalmente na pilha para ler a história de Teddy.

I read this second book with really high expectations after the end of Playing for Keeps, the first book in the Hot Jocks series, and just so you know, the book overcame everything I expected.

Owen and Becca are adorable characters. Becca is that kind of woman who inspires because despite all the shit she’s been through she doesn’t give up and runs after what she wants (as we should all be) and Owen, well, Owen is that kind of guy everyone wanted to have around because He is a good person, partner, funny and on top of that he does not make any effort to help those he loves (he also has a very eccentric taste in the bed, but we consider this an addendum).

Everything will happen a few months after the end of the first book. Because of her trauma Becca can’t have physical contact with any man she tries to relate to (she was attacked at the time she was in college). And thinking of changing this scenario because she really wants to have a relationship like any other normal person, she has the idea of ​​asking some friend to help her. Maybe knowing the person and trusting him, then she doesn’t panic if there is physical contact, and if that happens she will get rid of the idea of ​​danger and finally get to know the right guy.

She ends up exposing this idea to Owen on a drunken day when she ends up having to sleep at his house.

Things will happen between these two on this fateful night, and Owen will no longer be able to get Becca and his proposal out of his mind. He doesn’t think it’s a good idea at first, but the more he thinks about it, the less he can resist. And when Becca insists on the idea, he ends up accepting it, even though he has huge fears,  due to his peculiar tastes for sex, and since Becca needs someone who can give her the basics to remove all her traumas.
Guys, what I can say from now on is that it’s wonderful how Kendall can develop a romantic and relevant story. This couple will get involved and fall in love without even realizing that this is happening, and it is so beautiful to see, or better read hehehe.

I highly recommend the story, which in my opinion was way better than the first book.

And, you know, I already pre-ordered the third book in the series as soon as I finished this one because the little part of this 3rd at the end left me completely desperate and curious to read Teddy’s story.
