Último livro da série Out Of Uniform e por pouco não se torna o meu preferido viu. Gostei demais da história de Jackson e Mia.

Jackson conhece Mia quando a encontra procurando por seu celular no jardim dos seus vizinhos. Ele descobre que ela trabalha com jardinagem, e nos poucos minutos que conversam fica encantado com seu jeito. Ele a convida para sair mas Mia recusa, mesmo querendo aceitar, pois não quer arrumar mais problemas pra sua cabeça. Ela tem um irmão adolescente para criar que foi abandonado pela mãe deles na casa dela e enfim, nunca deu sorte com homens no geral. Ela simplesmente nunca curtiu muito fazer nada com eles.

Jackson claro não vai se conformar com isso, e bola um plano mega mirabolante para tentar convencer Mia a sair com ele novamente. Ele dá de presente para Seth & Miranda uma reforma no jardim da casa nova deles, e claro pede que a empresa de jardinagem mande Mia para fazer o trabalho.

Diante do esforço dele para sair com ela, Mia acaba aceitando apenas um date com Jackson, mas esse date vai dar início a outros já que diferente do que Mia imaginava Jackson faz ela ver estrelas ali no estacionamento do restaurante antes deles irem embora. Ela fica intrigada, pois nunca sentiu o que sentou com ele antes, e então acaba baixando a guarda e cedendo sair mais vezes com Jackson depois disso.

O que mais curti da história foi ver que amboss tinham gostos peculiares de diversão e que quando se encontraram deu aquele match sabe, a famosa teoria do todo mundo tem sua tampa reforçada. Mas a surpresa do livro fica por conta de toda história de vida do Jackson e o rolo que ele foi metido sem querer envolvendo a família dele. Sério gente, eu chorei lendo tudo de tanta dó que fiquei dele.

O livro consegue surpreender numa série em que já havíamos lido de tudo, e uma parte da surpresa fica por conta da mega participação de Dylan aí na história (o melhor personagem da Out of Uniform).

Recomendo não só a leitura deste livro, mas de todos da série. Se você está procurando uma série com cenas hot pra dar e vender e com personagens que te conectam demais com a história, vai fundo 😉

A Little Bit Of Hot & Hot Zone

Last book in the Out Of Uniform series and it almost became my favorite. I really enjoyed the story of Jackson and Mia.

Jackson meets Mia when he ran into her looking for her cell phone in his neighbors’ garden. He discovers that she works in gardening, and in the few minutes that they talk he is enchanted by her person. He invites her out, but Mia refuses, even though she wants to accept it, because she doesn’t want to add any more problems for her head. She has a teenage brother to raise who was abandoned by their mother at her home and in short, she never got lucky with men in general. She just never really enjoyed doing anything with them.

Jackson of course will not settle for this, and he comes up with a crazy plan to try to convince Mia to go out with him again. He gives Seth & Miranda a makeover in their garden, and of course asks the gardening company to send Mia to do the job.

Touched by his effort to go out with her, Mia ends up accepting only one date with Jackson, but that date will trigger others since different from what Mia imagined Jackson makes her see stars there in the restaurant parking lot before they leave. She is intrigued, as she has never felt what she felt with him before, and then she ends up letting her guard down and going out with Jackson more times after that.

What I liked most about the story was seeing that they both had peculiar tastes of fun and that their reunion was a match you know, the famous theory that all pans have their covers. But the surprise of the book is due to Jackson’s whole life story and the situation he was accidentally put in involving his family. Seriously folks, I cried reading it so much, I felt so sorry for him.

The book manages to surprise in a series in which we had already read everything, and a part of the surprise goes to Dylan’s participation in (the best character in Out of Uniform).
