Palácio de Mentiras – Erin Watt (#3 The Royals)

Terceiro livro da série The Royals (Princesa de Papel, Príncipe Partido), ele vai trazer o desfecho da história entre Ella e Reed e também solucionar o mistério de quem matou Brooke.

Reed vai ser o principal suspeito pois foi falar com Brooke horas antes do crime ter acontecido no apartamento de Dinah e Steve.

E por falar em Steve, ele será presença constante neste volume. Ele irá contar para Ella que acredita que Dinah tentou matá-lo e que demorou para reaparecer em parte porque estava investigando isso. Até aí tudo bem, mas Steve vai se tornar aquele personagem mala que fica tentando ser um “pai” – sem a menor vocação – e tentando separar Ella de Reed.

Sério, ele foi pra mim um daqueles personagens odiosos que eu revirava o olho durante a história toda, principalmente porque comecei a desconfiar de várias explicações que ele dava para alguma coisas, mas tirem vocês suas conclusões quando lerem pessoal.

Na minha opinião este livro poderia não ter existido já que nada muito relevante acontece, e a história poderia ter sido facilmente englobada nos dois primeiros volumes. Achei que ficou cansativo três livros para finalmente termos um desfecho.

Espero que o próximo livro do Herdeiro Caído seja mais legal e dê um ar fresco aí a série.

Third book in the Royals series(Paper Princess, Broken Prince), it will bring the outcome of the story between Ella and Reed and also solve the mystery of who killed Brooke.

Reed is going to be the prime suspect as he went to see Brooke hours before the crime took place at Dinah and Steve’s apartment.

And speaking of Steve, he will be a constant presence in this volume. He will tell Ella that he believes Dinah tried to kill him and that it took him a while to reappear in part because he was investigating it. So far so good, but Steve is going to become that annoying character who keeps trying to be a “father” – without the slightest talent- and trying to separate Ella from Reed.

Seriously, he was one of those hateful characters that I rolled my eyes over the whole story, mainly because I started to be suspicious of several explanations he gave for some things, but draw your conclusions when you read people.

In my opinion, this book should not exist since nothing very relevant happens, and the main story could easily have been included in the first two volumes. I thought three books  were very tiring to finally have an outcome.

I hope that the next book  Fallen Heir will be cooler and give the series a fresh air.
