A Coroa – Kiera Cass (The Crown)

O livro conseguiu me surpreender positivamente. Achei que a Kiera fosse focar totalmente na Seleção como nos primeiros livros, mas ela consegue mesclar bem toda a parte governamental com o romance.
Eadlyn é mais humanizada neste (que segundo Kiera) é o último volume da série e você lerá a história toda super na dúvida se ela ficará com Kyle ou Henri/Erik, e pior, ficará muito na dúvida se ela conseguirá manter a monarquia no país, já que a população está extremamente insatisfeita com tudo.
Achei o tom novelesco como sempre na medida e você lê querendo saber o que vai acontecer. Leitura mega leve e rápida. Devo ter terminado assim como o o da Herdeira em dois dias.
A parte mais triste é Maxon e America terem aparecido tão pouco. Eles aparecem bem mais que em A Herdeira, mas mesmo assim muito pouco. É difícil sair de uma trilogia só focada nos dois e seus sentimentos/pensamentos e já partir direto para um filho deles. Achei que foi uma transição muito brusca. Muito pouco tempo se passou entre o lançamento da trilogia original e o lançamento destes dois últimos livros.
A gente fica com aquele gosto de quero mais sobre os dois…sei lá, não que Eadlyn não tenha preenchido esta história, porque ela o fez, apenas gostaria de ter visto muito mais sobre seus pais antes de saber da vida dela.

Achei que embora um pouco previsível o final foi inusitado, e adorei toda a conversa da Eadlyn com o Maxon sobre todos na família deles serem quebradores de regras. Adorei. Foi um recap a altura de todos os livros da série, e deu uma baita saudade de Maxon/America.

The book managed to surprise me positively. I thought that Kiera would totally focus on the Selection as the first books, but she can merge well all government part with the romance.
Eadlyn is more humanized in this (which according Kiera) is the last volume of the series and you will read the whole story super wondering if she will be with Kyle or Henri/Erik, and worse you’ll will be very doubtful if she can maintain the monarchy in the country, since the population is extremely dissatisfied with everything.
I found the soap-opera tone good as usual since it keeps you wondering what will happen while you read. A super light and fast reading. I have read it in two days as I did with The Heir.
The saddest part is that Maxon and America have appeared so little in these last two books. They appear much more than in The Heir, but still very little. It is hard to leave a trilogy focused on these two and their feelings/thoughts and go straight to their child story. I thought it was a very abrupt transition. Very little time has passed between the release of the original trilogy and the release of these two books.
We keep that will of wanting to know more about the two (America/Maxon) … you know, it’s not that Eadlyn has not filled this story because she did, it’s just that I really wanted to see more about their parents before learning anything about her life.

I thought that although the end was somehow predictable it was also unusual, and I loved all the talking between Eadlyn and Maxon about everyone in their family being rules breakers. I loved it. It was a recap the height of all the books in the series, and it made us missing a lot Maxon/America’s story.
