Os Garotos Corvos – Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven Boys)

Estou completamente apaixonada por este livro e logo que terminei de lê-lo já tive que engatar a leitura do segundo pois não tem como não querer saber o que vai acontecer.
Ele conta basicamente a história de Blue, uma menina que vive em meio a uma família de videntes sem ter o mesmo dom. O seu dom aparentemente é apenas aumentar o poder das pessoas ao seu redor. Ela cresceu ouvindo da família toda que se beijasse o seu primeiro amor ele morreria, mas ela nunca deu muita bola para essa previsão. Pelo menos não até conhecer a turma de garotos da Aglionby (escola que possui o corvo como símbolo no seu brasão). Esses meninos estão procurando pelo Rei galês Glendower, o qual reza a lenda concederá um desejo a quem despertá-lo. O interessante é que cada um dos meninos e inclusive Blue tem um motivo para querer achar o tal rei e fazer o tal pedido.
É simplesmente impossível começar a ler e não se perguntar algumas coisas como se eles vão conseguir achá-lo? Blue vai conseguir mudar o seu destino? Alguém terá realmente um desejo concedido?
Eu estou insana com essa história toda! Esse livro é simplesmente demais! Atualmente estou lendo o 2o livro de 4, e irei contando aqui minhas impressões a respeito de cada um.
Eu adorei o jeito de escrever da Maggie. É um estilo entre o super culto e o super pop. Achei muito legal pois ao mesmo tempo que você tem um leitura super fluída, há muito vocabulário rico no meio da narrativa. E todo esse latim no meio da história meu povo? Adorei demais!

O que mais intriga neste livro é que Blue vê o espírito de Gansey na véspera do dia de São Marcos. Ou seja, você sabe desde o 1o livro que ele vai morrer. Mas a questão toda é, porque e como ele vai morrer. Dá uma dó gente, já que é impossível você não gostar dele ao longo da leitura. Você fica super querendo que isso não seja verdade, mas já no primeiro livro você tem a prévia de que sim, o negócio todo não vai acabar bem. Tô com essa agonia no peito durante a leitura, mas a história é tão boa que você não tem como não continuar a ler.

I am completely in love with this book and as soon as I finished reading it I had to start reading the second because it is hard not to wonder what will happen.
It basically tells the story of Blue, a girl who lives in a family of psychics without having the same gift. Her gift is apparently only increase the power of the people around her, she’s kind of a battery. She grew up listening to her whole family saying that if she kissed her first love he would die, but she never gave much attention to that prediction. At least not until she met 4 boys from Aglionby school(an elite school that has the crow as a symbol). These boys are looking for the Welsh King Glendower, which legend tells he will grant a wish to those who are able to awaken him. Interestingly, each of the boys and even Blue has a reason to want to find the king and make a wish.
It is simply impossible to start reading and not asking such things as whether they will be able to find it. Will Blue be able to change her destiny? Does anyone really have a wish granted?
I’m insane with the whole thing! This book is just awesome! I’m currently reading the second book of 4, and I will tell here my impressions about each one.
I loved the way Maggie writes. It is a style between super cult and super pop. I found it very cool because at the same time you have a super fluid reading, there are very rich vocabulary in the middle of the narrative. And all this Latin in the middle of the story, my people? I loved it too!

What most intrigues in this book is that Blue sees the spirit of Gansey on St. Mark’s eve. So, you know from the first book that he will eventually die. But the whole question is, why and how he will die. It’s such a pity, since it is impossible for you not liking him over the reading. You really caught up yourself wishing this isn’t true, but in the first book you have prior that yes, it is, and that the whole thing will not end well. I’m carrying this agony in my the chest while I’m reading, but the story is so good that you can not help but continue to read.
