Aquele da Rainbow Rowell – That One about Rainbow Rowell

 

Rainbow linda. Rainbow maravilhosa. Rainbow tudo de bom. Essa escritora está nas minhas top tops da vida de escritores preferidos. E pasmem isto é uma afirmativa a muito pouco tempo já que li todos os livros desde o começo de 2015.

Tudo começou quando peguei Fangirl para ler. Eu havia visto o livro na livraria algumas vezes, e após ver a Mel falar tão bem e ter tantos volumes diferentes da história – acho que meio que coleção mesmo – eu fiquei mega curiosa para saber porque tanto amor. E gente, não me decepcionei.

O livro é tudo que eu li de bom a respeito e muito mais. Fangirl me pegou dum jeito que poucos livros me pegaram. É aquela história que rolou identificação de coração sabe!? Tocou minha alma. E por ter amado tanto parti logo, tipo, na próxima semana para ler Eleanor & Park, que conseguiu a proeza de quebrar meu coração todinho e depois colar caquinho por caquinho de volta do lugar. Eu amei. E então rapidamente peguei o próximo, Anexos. Será que seria alguma surpresa dizer que adorei também? Adorei tanto que emendei a leitura de Ligações. E gente, o que falar de Ligações? Puta história legal, e rolou identificação por ser algo mais próximo da minha realidade de hoje em dia já que a protagonista da história é mais velha, já casada, tem que ajustar carreira e trabalho doméstico, tem filhos e tudo mais.

Depois de ler estes 4 primeiros eu só conseguia pensar na GRANDE capacidade camaleoa que a Rainbow tem. Cada história é única, tem um estilo de escrita diferente, mensagens completamente diferentes sendo passadas, protagonistas marcantes, e sério, as histórias ficam na sua cabeça por um tempão depois que você termina os livros. No meu caso Fangirl foi a que mais ficou.

Daí comecinho desse ano peguei Carry On pra ler. E GENTEEE PARA TUDO!!!! Essa mulher…quero beijar o pé, ou melhor a mão, dessa mulher! Puta história legal do caralho! Desculpem o palavreado, mas gente, puta história legal do caralho!!!!
Pra quem não sabe Carry On é um spin off de Fangirl. No livro Fangirl, a Cath, escrevia uma fanfic baseada nos livros de Simon Snow, e sempre no começo ou final de algum capítulo a gente tinha pedaços dessa fic. Então,a Rainbow foi lá e escreveu a fanfic toda. E ficou DEMAIS!

Eu super considerava Simon como Harry Potter, mas depois de ler Carry On eu total deslinkei as figuras. Tem tudo a ver, mas não tem nada a ver. É bem isso. Entendedores entenderão.

E aí você pensa, ah uma hora ela erra. Só que não! Porque até na pequena novelinha que ela soltou em comemoração ao dia do livro, Kindred Spirits ela acerta genteee! A mulher me faz uma história duma menina que vai passar uns dias na fila da pré-estréia de Star Wars the Force Awakens. Não tem como não gostar, só digo isso! E tem mais, fiquei com aquele gostinho de só isso? quero mais! quero mto mais!

Isso é Rainbow senhoras e senhores!

Rainbow mora em Omaha, Nebraska – Cidade que conheço graças a One Three Hill (entendedores entenderão) – é casada e tem 2 filhos. Ela trabalhou em um jornal de Omaha por uns 10 anos e dps um tempinho numa agencia de publicidade antes de só escrever.
Tem uma entrevista muito massa dela da época do lançamento de Ligações e veja o que eu achei ela falando desse trampo de 10 anos:

Rainbow, amiga, você não sabe o quanto eu me identifico contigo. Vamo tomar um café juntinhas? Bater um papo sobre a vida, sobre trabalhos sem significado, sobre as ideias literárias? Ai ai….

Gente, e eu super achava que o livro que tinha um q de autobiográfico era Fangirl, mas que nada, pelo jeito o livro que Rainbow mais colocou items inspirados na vida real foi Eleanor & Park. Cara, quero abraçar essa Rainbow cada vez mais! Cada detalhe que descubro da vida dela só me faz adorá-la mais e mais.

Sério, se você nunca leu nada dessa mulher está literalmente perdendo seu tempo. Vá! Corre comprar! É tão lindo! tudo é lindo! Se vc é nerdona/nerdão como eu eu aconselho Fangirl pra primeira leitura, mas se você é mais descoladona/descoladão então começa pelo Eleanor & Park, pq afinal, quem nunca teve seu primeiro amor?

Beautiful Rainbow. Wonderful Rainbow. All that is good in the word Rainbow. This writer is in my list of the top of tops favorite writers. And see, this is a statement with a very little time since I read all of her books beginning of 2015.

It all started when I took Fangirl to read. I had seen the book in the bookstore a few times, and after seeing Mel speaking so well about it and having so many different volumes of it – I think that means having a collection – I was mega curious to know why so much love. And people, I was not disappointed.
The book is everything I read good about and more. Fangirl got me in a way that few books got me. It is a story with heart identification you know !? It touched my soul. And because I loved so much I soon, like next week, began to read Eleanor & Park, who managed to break my heart in million pieces and then having them paste piece by piece back in their the place. I loved. And then quickly grabbed the next, Attachments. Would it be any surprise that loved it too? I loved it so much I amended the reading of Landline. And people, what to speak about Landline? Super cool story, and there was a bit of identification to be something closer to my reality today since the main character is older, already married, has to balance career and domestic work, has children and everything.

After reading these first 4 books, I could only think of the BIG chameleon ability that Rainbow has. Each story is unique, has a different writing style, has completely different messages being passed, striking protagonists, and serious, the stories are in your head for a long time after you finish the book. Fangirl, in my case, was the one that was forever in my head.

Then the very beginning of this year I picked up Carry On to read. And PEOPLE SHUT THE FRONT DOOR !!!! This woman … I want to kiss her foot, or better her hand! Fucking good this story! Sorry for the verbiage, but people, it’s pretty fucking good !!!!For those who do not know Carry On is a spin off from Fangirl. In Fangirl book, Cath used to write a fanfic based on Simon Snow’s books, and always at the beginning or end of each chapter we used to had pieces of this fic. Then, Rainbow went there and wrote the whole fanfic. And it was Fucking awesome!

I super felt Simon as Harry Potter, but after reading Carry On I unlinked both characters. It has everything to do, but it has nothing to do. It is just like that. Understanders will understand.

And then you think, some time she will blow it. But no! Because even the little short story that she released to celebrate the day of the book, Kindred Spirits, she nailed peopleeee! The woman makes me a story of a girl who spends a few days in the movies line of the Star Wars the Force Awakens release. It is impossible not to like, it’s just like that! And there’s more, I got that taste of just this? I want more! Much Much more!

Rainbow lives in Omaha, Nebraska – City I know thanks to One Three Hill (understanders will understand) – is married and has 2 children. She worked in an Omaha newspaper for about 10 years and after it a little time in an ad agency before she could only to write as living.

People, and I super thought that the book that had an autobiographic touch was Fangirl, but it’s not, since the book Rainbow put more real life inspired items was Eleanor & Park. Man, I want to hug Rainbow really badly! Every detail that I find about her life just makes me love her more and more.

Seriously, if you never read anything of this woman you’re literally wasting your time. Go! Run buying some! It’s so beautiful! Everything from her is beautiful! If you’re a big nerd as I am, I advise you to read Fangirl first, but if you are more sociable than nerd begin by Eleanor & Park, because after all, who never had a first love?
