Coleção Salve-se Quem Puder (Usborne Puzzle Adventures)

Como este mês é o mês das crianças, eu queria falar sobre livros para esse público, e estes livros rechearam minha infância de curiosidade por resolução de mistérios.
Todas as histórias tem ao final de cada capítulo um mistério a ser resolvido para que o leitor possa prosseguir com a leitura, ou seja, as histórias são participativas. Você se sente dentro dela, inserido no mistério. Eu me sentia A detetive quando lia, e peguei praticamene tudo que tinha da coleção na biblioteca da minha cidade (sim, na minha infância os livros eram muito caros e/ou eu era mto pobreta e não tinha dinheiro pra comprar todos os que eu lia).
Dessa coleção foi um passo pra Vagalume e dela outro passo para Agatha Christie, a rainha do romance policial.
Os livros desta coleção fazem um ótimo papel de transição dos livros super infantis que tem mais figuras do que textos para leituras um pouco mais complexas e que mesclam mais texto com figura.
Pra mim podem ser lidos por crianças acima de 8 anos tranquilamente. Eu devo ter lido por volta dos meus 10 anos e adorei, mas poderia tê-los lido bem antes. É o tipo de livro que vai fazer a criança gostar de ler mais e mais, vai fazê-la considerar a leitura realmente como algo divertido, intrigante, emocionante.
Os livros novos desta coleção são meio caros, giram em torno de 30 reais, mas acho um investimento muito válido mediante a todos os benefícios para o hábito de ler que eles trarão. Se não se importar com livros usados dá para achar vários no mercado livre ou sebos on-line por menos de 10 reais.

 

Since this month is the month of children, I wanted to talk about books for this kind of public, and these books made my childhood full of curiosity for solving mysteries.
All stories have at the end of each chapter a mystery to be resolved to enable the reader to continue reading, which means that the stories are participatory. You feel inside, inserted into the mystery. I felt THE Detective when I used to read them, and I read practically everything from this collection from my city’s library (yes, during my childhood books were very expensive and / or I was very poor and had no money to buy all that I used to read).
From this collection to Vagalume was a step, and then another step to Agatha Christie, the queen of the detective novel.
The books in this collection make a great transition role from children’s books that have more pictures than text for reading to a bit more complex and more mixed text with figure.
For me it can be read by children over 8 years without doubt. I must have read them about my 10 years and loved it, but could have read them well before. It’s the kind of book that will make the child like to read more and more, that will make him/her consider reading really like something fun, intriguing, exciting.
New books in this collection are a little expensive, they cost around 30 reais, but I think it’s a worthwhile investment considering all the benefits to the habit of reading that they will bring. If you don’t care about giving used books you may find several of them on Mercado Livre’s site or used bookstores online for less than 10 reais.
