Happy Halloween!

Como é Halloween e eu adoro esta data, resolvi fazer algo diferente e falar um pouco das coisas que amo e que me fazem lembrar do Halloween (livros/filmes etc)

Filme de Halloween pra mim é Abracadabra!

Perdi a conta de quantas vezes vi esse filme. É só o filme que mais me dá vontade de estar num lugar que celebre o Halloween e gente, esse é um daqueles filmes que marcaram minha infância já que eu vi quando foi lançado em 1993(em VHS) nos meus áureos 11 aninhos de idade. Toda vez que eu ia na locadora ficava tentada a alugar novamente. Até hoje sou gamada na bruxinha da Sarah Jessica Parker.

O que consequentemente me leva a música I put a Spell On You, que pra mim representa o Halloween. Tocou eu já lembro do filme e do Halloween.

Livro de Halloween pra mim é…bem, acho que não consigo citar apenas 1, então aí vão 3:
Todos de Harry Potter, por motivos bruxos óbvios.

Todos de A Mediadora, porque todo o lance de mediação da Suze com o povo morto me lembra mto mto Halloween.

Todos de Os Garotos Corvos, porque esta é só a série de livros mais cheia de magia que li esse ano e porque tem vidente, bruxa, ladrão de sonho e muito mais no meio desta história.

 

Meu aniversário me faz lembrar de Halloween já que é na véspera rs.

E por último, abóboras. Sempre que vou no supermercado e vejo uma eu automaticamente penso no Halloween e em como eu queria q comemorassem isso aqui assim como lá fora só pra eu ter prazer de comprar uma de fazer aquelas Jack O Lanterns.

Eu sempre adorei a ideia do Halloween, mesmo sem nunca ter presenciado nenhum até 2007 (será mesmo? aposto que já presenciei muitos em outras vidas). E foi em 2007 que matei minha curiosidade/vontade quando estava nos EUA como aupair. Pude ver toda a preparação da minha casa e da vizinhança para a data, sentir toda aquela expectativa e apesar de ter tido que ficar dando os doces para quem batia na porta da casa que eu morava ao invés de ir pedir os doces com as crianças pude me sentir dentro de um dos inúmeros filmes que assistia onde via a data sendo comemorada. Foi uma daquelas experiências que eu buscava quando fui pra lá e quem não tem preço. Me acabei de comer chocolates (sobrou mto do que foi comprado pra distribuir) e meu coração ficou cheio de boas lembranças da época.

 

Since it’s Halloween and I love this date, I decided to do something different and to speak a little about the things that I love and that remind me of Halloween (books / movies etc.)

A Halloween movie for me is Hocus Pocus
I lost count of how many times I’ve seen this movie. It’s just the film that most makes me want to be in a place that celebrates Halloween and people, this is one of those films that marked my childhood since I saw it when it was released in 1993 (VHS) in my golden 11 years old. Every time I was at the video store I was tempted to take it home again. Also,I still have a crush on Sarah Jessica Parker’s witch.

That leads me to music I put a Spell On You, which for me is a Halloween song because of the movie. When it’s playing somewhere I always remember the film and consequently Halloween.

Halloween book for me is … well, I guess I cannot list just one, so here are 3:
All Harry Potter, for obvious witches reasons.

All of the Mediator, because the entire bid mediation of Suze with dead people remember me a lot about Halloween.

All of The Raven Boys  because this is a series full of magic I read this year and because it contains psychics, witches, dream thieves and more in the middle of this story.

My birthday reminds me of Halloween since it’s on its eve.

Finally, pumpkins. Whenever I go to the supermarket and see one I automatically think of Halloween and how I wanted to celebrate it here as out there just so I could have the pleasure to buy one and build those Jack O Lanterns.

I always loved the idea of ​​Halloween, even without ever having seen any until 2007 (really?? I bet I have witnessed many of them in other lives). It was in 2007 that I killed my curiosity / desire when I was in the US as an aupair. I could see all the preparation of my house and the neighborhood to the date, feel all that expectation and despite having to stay home distributing the candies to anyone who knocked on the door of the house I lived instead of going to ask for the candies with the children I could feel myself inside one of the many films that I’ve watched where the date was celebrated. It was one of those experiences that I was seeking when I went over there and which was priceless. I just ate too many chocolates (a lot left of what was purchased to be distributed) and my heart was full of good memories of this time.

 

PS. The pictures above in Portuguese version are indeed mine and I took them from my neighborhood during Halloween time of 2007. The boy that is in some of them was one of the cute boys I used to take care of.
