Top 5 melhores livros lidos de 2016 – Best books read in 2016

Não vou conseguir mensurar qual dos 5 foi o melhor dos melhores, mesmo porque 3 aí são séries de livros, mas posso dizer com certeza que meu ano foi melhor depois de ter lido tudo isso e que espero que quem quer que leia esse post se inspire a lê-los pois estes livros com certeza valem muito a pena.

 

1)Maze Runner (todos)

Mais ou menos um ano antes de começar a lê-los uma amiga me contou o que acontecia no final da série (porque eu pedi, claro), só que eu esqueci completamente o spoiler e quando comecei a ler eu tentava desesperadamente lembrar o que aconteceria mas não conseguia. Não sei se por sorte ou não, pois enquanto eu não li os 3 primeiros livros da história principal eu não tive paz. Li os 3 em questão de 1 semana pois era aquele tipo de leitura que eu precisava desesperadamente saber o que ia acontecer. Por que raios eles estavam no labirinto? Quem tava manipulando quem? Não dá pra saber, e eu queria saber! Queria saber! Bem, no final do 3º você entende tudo, thank God! E daí pra ajudar tem mais um livro de arquivos e um prequel (Ordem de Extermínio) que dá muita informação relevante para a trilogia principal.

PS. O autor lançou mais um prequel no final deste ano que eu ainda não li ( Código da Febre) mas com certeza lerei ano que vem.

2)Os garotos Corvos (todos)

Esses livros me perseguiam em resenhas e vídeos que vi de várias pessoas desde o ano passado, e eu tinha um feeling que iria gostar da história. Pois bem, comprei os 3 primeiros (que já tinham saído em português) e também li tudo em menos de uma semana. O 4º e último livro da série tinha acabado de sair em inglês (acho que em abril – e eu tava lendo os livros em junho/julho) e só sairia aqui em outubro, o que pra mim seria uma eternidade pra saber o que finalmente aconteceria com Gansey. O que eu fiz então? Gastei a maior graninha e comprei o último em ebook mesmo pra poder matar minha curiosidade. Conclusão: Valeu cada centavo gasto. Uma daquelas séries que recomendarei pra todo mundo sempre que me pedirem dicas de séries inesquecíveis.

3)O lado feio do amor

Sabe aquele livro que você começa ler achando que tem um história completamente diferente do que ela realmente é!? Tudo bem que o resumo dele dá algumas dicas, mas pelo pouco que tinha nele e pelo título do livro achei que seria uma história de sei lá abuso, que o cara seria mau com a mocinha, afinal porque chamaria o lado feio do amor se o cara não fosse fazer alguma coisa de ruim pra ela!? Tão errada.

A história é narrada por Tate, que é a mocinha, e Miles, que é o cara misterioso da história. O tempo todo você fica tentando entender qual é a dele, pois as partes que ele narra são de 6 anos antes da história que está acontecendo, e Tate não consegue arrancar uma vírgula sobre a vida dele.  A história é recheada de cenas quentes e devo dizer deliciosas de se ler, e você não consegue parar pois assim como Tate precisa saber o que há de errado com Miles.  Só posso dizer que não, o cara não é nem um pouco mau. Vocês nem imaginam tudo que aconteceu e enfim, a história é sensacional por todo o jeito que a narrativa foi construída, pelas ótimas horas que passei junto ao livro e por me deixar com aquela ressaca literária do tipo nunca mais vou achar outro livro que me faça sentir assim. (adoro isso)

4)Carry On

Sério, foi o livro de fantasia mais fofo que eu poderia ter lido esse ano. Juro que peguei ainda com algum receio de estragar a história de Fangirl, já que o Carry On era a fanfic que a Cath escrevia na história do outro livro. Mas  o livro é fantástico! Eu super tinha uma imagem do Simon como um Harry Potter, mas o livro veio pra descontruir essa imagem completamente. Não sei como mas a Rainbow conseguiu fazer eu me apaixonar mais ainda por ela. Lerei tudo, tudo que essa mulher publicar pra sempre.

5) Olho por Olho (todos)

Essa trilogia foi a maior surpresa do ano no sentido de que eu não dava nada, nadica de nada pra história. Achei que ia ser uma história de vingança adolescente super light, algo no qual as meninas que se juntaram aprenderiam aquela lição básica de que vingança não compensa e tals e tudo ficaria bem no final. Meu, eu não poderia estar mais errada. No final do primeiro livro você já sente que há algo muito sinistro na história, e quando você termina o segundo simplesmente fica enlouquecida. Sério, eu pirei. Eu precisava saber o que ia acontecer pois o final do segundo livro foi tão surpreendente que não dava pra parar de pensar nela. Conclusão foi que tive que comprar o livro em inglês ebook também pra conseguir tirar esse peso dos meus ombros. Novamente, valeu cada centavo. O terceiro volume sai agora em janeiro no Brasil. E eu nunca agradeci tanto conseguir ler em inglês como quando li o final desta história. Sério, só leiam.

 

 

I will not be able to measure which of the 5 was the best of the best, because to start there are 3 series of books between them, but I can say for sure that my year was better after reading all this and I hope that whoever reads this post gets inspired to read them because these books are certainly worth it.

1) Maze Runner (all)

A year or so before I started reading them a friend told me what happened at the end of the series (because I asked, of course), but I completely forgot the spoiler and when I started to read I tried desperately to remember what would happen but I could not. I don’t know if by luck or not, because while I did not read the first main 3 books of the story I didn’t have peace. I read the 3 in a matter of 1 week because it was that kind of reading that I desperately needed to know what was going to happen. Why the hell were they in the labyrinth? Who was manipulating who? I couldn’t tell, and I wanted to know! Wanted to know! Well, at the end of the 3rd you understand everything, thank God! And then you have another book of archives and a prequel (Extermination Order) that gives much information relevant to the main trilogy.

PS.The author released another prequel at the end of this year that I have not read (Fever Code) but I will surely read it next year.

2) The Raven Boys (all)

These books haunted me in reviews and videos I’ve seen from a lot of people since last year, and I had a feeling that I would like the story. Well, I bought the first 3 (which had already been released in Portuguese) and also read everything in less than a week. The 4th and last book of the series had just been released in English (I think in April – and I was reading the books in June / July) and it would only be released here in October, which for me would be an eternity to know what would finally happen to Gansey. What did I do then? I spent a bunch of money and bought the last one in eBook to be able to kill my curiosity. Conclusion: It worth every penny I spent. One of those series that I will recommend to everyone whenever they ask me for some unforgettable series tips.

3) Ugly Love

You know that book you start reading, thinking you have a completely different story than it really is!? It’s okay that its summary gives some tips, but because of the little we had in it and the title of the book I thought it would be a story of some kind of abuse, that the guy would be bad with the girl, after all why would it be called Ugly Love if the guy was not going to do something bad for her!? So wrong.

The story is told by Tate, who is the girl, and Miles, who is the mysterious face of the story. All the time you keep trying to understand what about him, since the parts he narrates are six years before the story is going on, and Tate can not get a comma out about his past life. The story is filled with hot scenes and I must say delicious to read, and you can not stop because just as Tate needs to know what’s wrong with Miles. I can only say no, the guy is not at all bad. You can not even imagine everything that happened and finally, the story is amazing for all the way it was built, for the great hours I spent with the book and for leaving me with that literary hangover thought that I will never find another book that will make me Feel this way. (loved it)

4) Carry On

Seriously, it was the cutest fantasy book I could have read this year. I swear I still had some fear of spoiling Fangirl’s story, since Carry On was the fanfic that Cath wrote in the story of Fangirl. But the book is fantastic! I super had a picture of Simon as a Harry Potter, but the book came to remove that image completely. I do not know how but Rainbow managed to make me fall in love with her even more. I will read everything, everything this woman publishes forever.

5) Burn for Burn (all)

This trilogy was the biggest surprise of the year in a way that I did not give anything, nothing of nothing to the story. I thought it was going to be a teen super light revenge story, something in which the girls who got together would learn that basic lesson that revenge does not pay off, so everything would be fine in the end. Dude, I could not be more wrong. At the end of the first book you already feel that there is something very sinister in the story, and when you finish the second you just go crazy. Seriously, I did. needed to know what was going to happen because the end of the second book was so amazing that I could not stop thinking about it. Conclusion was that I also had to buy the eBook in English to get this weight off my shoulders. Again, worth every penny. The third volume now comes out in January in Brazil. And I’ve never been so grateful to read English as I did when I read the end of this story. Seriously, just read.
