A Mediadora: Reunião – Meg Cabot (The Mediator – Reunion)

Suze recebe sua melhor (e única) amiga (Gina) de NYC em sua casa na Califórnia. As duas teriam tido uma ótima temporada juntas não fossem dois pequenos grandes detalhes, os meio-irmãos de Suze que se metem numa competição pelo coração de Gina e 4 estudantes fantasmas que passaram desta pra melhor que Suze encontra numa de suas idas a praia com Gina e seus irmãos.
Suze então tentando ajudá-los, descobre que os 4 morreram em um acidente de carro, e que o que está mantendo os 4 estudantes inconformados ainda na Terra é a sede de vingança contra o menino que bateu o carro contra eles.
O menino “culpado” é um dos nerds que estuda na escola de Suze, e o grande mistério da história gira em torno justamente de quem está falando a verdade, ele ou os 4 fantasmas raivosos (que eram os tipos atléticos que odeiam nerds da outra escola da cidade).
Vale a pena pelo clima de mistério e para ver como Jesse mais uma vez será fundamental para ajudar Suze e Padre Dominic a domar esses 4 fantasmas doidos. Por essas e outras Suze encontra-se cada vez mais encantada por ele, e o livro terminará numa parte crucial para o relacionamento de ambos.

Para tudo, porque cada livro que eu leio da Mediadora, eu me encanto mais! É aquele tipo de história despretenciosa que acabou dando certo, e a Meg a cada livro elabora mais e mais a trama e deixa tudo mais e mais interessante. A velocidade com que li cada um foi extremamente decrescente, e creio que após ter lido o começo do próximo volume isso será uma regra até o final dos 6 da série.
O que me deixou animada foi ter descoberto que a Meg vai lançar uma continuação (livro7) da Mediadora, agora com Suze na faculdade (o que ela fez ano passado). Estou simplesmente encantada com essa notícias pois para eu, senior leitora, a única coisa que faz a história não ser perfeita é o quê teen da narrativa da Suze.
Agora falando da história de Reunião, eu adorei ver os irmãos da Suze disputando a amiga, e ver como Suze apesar de não admitir nunca, acaba mostrando o quanto gosta deles após ver bem de perto a possibilidade de perdê-los, já que, obviamente, o possível assassino dos 4 estudantes não estava apenas querendo matar só aqueles estudantes. Um dos meio irmãos da Suze se torna alvo, mas devido a inexperiência do assassino, todos, inclusive Gina acabam quase mortos por ele.
O final do livro é bem supreendente pois não imaginei que Suze levaria uma surra tão grande como levou. Apesar de obviamente estar 100% certa de que Jesse a salvaria de alguma maneira, a gente fica realmente tensa no final do livro. E a cena bonitinha de Jesse com ela no hospital nos dá certeza de que a vidente que Gina conta ter dito que Suze teria apenas um amor na vida, acertou e que essa pessoa é com certeza Jesse. Como será que isso vai acabar? Estou realmente curiosa pra saber.

 

Suze receives her best (and only) friend (Gina) from NYC at her home in California. The two would have had a great season together wif it weren’t for two small details, Suze’s half-brothers who get into a competition to win Gina’s heart and 4 ghost students who went from this side to the best one that Suze meets on one of her trips to the beach with Gina and her brothers.
Suze then trying to help them, finds out that the 4 died in a car accident, and that what is keeping the 4 students still on Earth is the thirst for revenge against the boy who hit their car.
The “guilty” boy is one of the nerds who studies at Suze’s school, and the great mystery of the story happens on discovering who is telling the truth, he or the four anger ghosts (who were the athletic guys who hate the nerds of the other school in the city).
It’s worth because of the mystery and to see how Jesse will once again be fundamental in helping Suze and Father Dominic to tame these 4 crazy ghosts. Because of this and other situations Suze finds herself increasingly enchanted by him, and the book will end in a crucial part of their relationship.

Stop everything, because every book I read from the Mediator, I love it more! It’s that kind of unpretentious story that turned out right, and Meg in each book elaborates more and more the plot and leaves everything more and more interesting. The speed with which I read each one was extremely decreasing, and I believe that after reading the beginning of the next volume this will be a rule until the end of the 6 of the series.
What made me excited was that I discovered that Meg is going to launch a continuation (book 7) of the Mediator (which she did last year). I am simply delighted with this news because for me, senior reader, the only thing that makes the story not perfect is the teen way of narrative from Suze’s storytelling.
Now, talking about Reunion’s story, I loved seeing Suze’s brothers fight for her friend, and see how Suze, despite not admitting it, shows how much she likes them after seeing the possibility of losing them very closely, since, obviously , The possible killer of the 4 students was not only willing to kill those students. One of Suze’s half brothers becomes targeted, but due to the killer’s inexperience, everyone, including Gina, is almost killed by him.
The end of the book is very surprising because I did not imagine that Suze would take a beating as big as it took. Although obviously 100% certain that Jesse would save her in some way, we get really tense at the end of the book. And Jesse’s cute scene with her in the hospital gives us certainty that the clairvoyant that Ginny claims to have said that Suze would have only one love in life, she was right and that person is Jesse. How will this end? I’m really curious to know.
