Um caso Perdido – Colleen Hoover (Hopeless)

Essa história é mais uma da lista de histórias mega sensacionais da Colleen.

Nela você conhece Sky, uma adolescente que mora com a mãe adotiva, a qual é completamente contra qualquer tipo de tecnologia como computador/internet/TV/ celular. Ou seja, Sky cresceu alheia a tudo isso, e é até legal você acompanhar alguém que não tem noção do que é fazer parte deste mundo.  Ela também nunca freqüentou uma escola normal, sempre foi ensinada em casa pela sua mãe. Ou seja, sua melhor amiga é sua vizinha, a qual ela conhece desde que se mudou para a casa que vive, e que bem no ano que Sky consegue finalmente convencer a mãe a deixá-la ir pra escola decide fazer um intercâmbio.

Conseqüência disso, Sky vai para a escola sozinha. Lá ela faz amizade com Breckin, o qual na ausência de Six passa a ser seu companheiro nas aulas. Certo dia ela encontra com um menino num comércio da vizinhança chamado Dean Holder, e este parece muito pelo jeito que a trata que já a conhece de algum lugar. Há vários boatos a respeito deste cara na escola, pois ele ficou um ano fora da cidade e alguns dizem que ele ficou até mesmo preso nesse meio tempo por agressão a um outro aluno.

A história que se segue é de Sky tentando descobrir qual é a do Holder, pois os dois começam a se aproximar e quanto mais eles se aproximam mais ela se convence que ele está escondendo algo dela e mais ela começa a lembrar/descobrir coisas de sua vida que ela nem imaginava serem possíveis. Quanto mais ela tenta conhecer Holder, mais ela se auto conhece.

O título da história vem de uma tatuagem que Holder tem no braço escrita HOPELESS. E a explicação para tal tatuagem é simplesmente sensacional. Achei muito bem bolada e você com certeza vai se surpreender com tudo, com a explicação, com a história, com o final. Enfim, um livro da Colleen muito Colleen, cheio de reviravoltas, revelações, cenas picantes na medida e uma linguagem super fluída e gostosa para se divertir.

Obviamente que recomendo a leitura, ainda mais se você está precisando de doses de adrenalina e serotonina na veia. Vale muito a pena e eu pelo menos sempre fico com gostinho de quero mais quando acabo um livro dela.

Neste caso temos mais 2 livros relacionados a este, um é o Losing Hope, que é a versão Holder do que acontece antes e nesta história e também um spin off com personagens apresentados nestes dois livros chamado Finding Cinderela.

In this one you meet Sky, a teenager who lives with her foster mother, who is completely against any kind of technology like computer / internet / TV / cell phone. That is, Sky has grown out of all this, and it’s even cool to get to know someone who has no idea what it’s like to be part of this world. She also never attended a regular school, because was always taught at home by her mother. So, her best friend is her neighbor, whom she has known since she moved to the house she lives in, and that in the year that Sky finally manages to convince her mother to let her go to school, she decides to make an exchange program in another country.

As a result, Sky goes to school by herself. There she becomes friends with Breckin, who in the absence of Six becomes her classmate. One day she meets a boy in a neighborhood store named Dean Holder, and he looks a lot like he knows her somewhere because of the way he treats her. There are several rumors about this guy at school, he stayed a year out of town and people say that he was even in jail during this time because of a boy he beat at school on the previous year.

The story that follows is from Sky trying to figure out what’s up with Holder, since when the two begin to approach and the more they get closer the more she is convinced that he is hiding something from her and the more she begins to remember / discover things from her life she never imagined possible. The more she tries to meet Holder, the more she knows herself.

The title of the story comes from a tattoo Holder has on his arm written HOPELESS. And the explanation for such a tattoo is simply sensational. I thought it was really cool and you will be amazed with everything, the explanation, the story, the ending. At last, a Colleen book very Colleen book, full of twists, revelations, spicy scenes in the measure and a super fluid and delicious language to have fun.

Obviously I recommend reading, especially if you are in need of doses of adrenaline and serotonin in the vein. It’s worth it and I at least always get the taste of wanting more when I finish a book like this one.
