Esse livro é um livro composto por 3 contos interligados entre si pelos seus personagens, e que acontecem na mesma véspera de ano novo.

Virada de Destino

O primeiro conto narra a história do Derek e a Livie. Derek andando de bicicleta atropela um moça sem querer quando estava tentando chegar a uma festa na qual tinha combinado ir com o amigo Al. Al vai aparecer mais tarde no 3o conto. Livie trabalha em um hospital e está quase saindo do seu plantão para encontrar um amiga que veio de longe para passar a virada do ano na Times Square, Summer. Summer aparecerá depois no 2o conto do livro.

Os dois se encontrarão quando Derek entrar com a moça no hospital pedindo ajuda, e Livie mesmo já tendo acabado seu plantão resolve ficar para ajudar no caso e porque não consegue tirar os olhos de Derek.

Daí pra frente não rola contar muito porque seria spoiler rs…mas devo comentar que este é o conto mais picante de todos, pois está recheado com cenas bem ousadas sendo narradas. Particularmente não é o meu estilo preferido, mas para quem gosta é um prato cheio.

Virada de Plano

Neste conto conhecemos a história de Summer e Reeve. Summer está perdida em plena NYC sem comunicação com a amiga Livie, que iria encontrá-la na Times Square após seu plantão no hospital. Reeve acabou de levar um bolo de sua namorada quando foi pedi-la em casamento.

Os dois se cruzam numa das ruas da cidade e este encontro vai mudar a perspectiva que ambos tinham de sua noite como uma noite perdida.

Me lembrou muito aquele filme Antes do Amanhecer pela dinâmica da história. E com certeza foi o meu conto preferido pelo romance na medida certa misturado a uma história que te faz sempre querer saber mais. Aliás, espero que haja uma continuação da história.

PS. Quem ler o conto até o fim entenderá do que estou falando.

Virada de História

Neste último conto conheceremos a história de Bliss e Al. Bliss acaba de descobrir que estava sendo traída e está enclausurada em casa até que as amigas a arrastam para um barzinho ali perto. Al, que estava esperando Derek para ir a uma festa, acaba se vendo sozinho pois o Derek não aparece. Ele então vai até o mesmo barzinho procurando algo para passar o Reveillon, e lá encontrará Bliss.

Essa história guarda um segredinho muito amor e tenho certeza que vocês que amam esse tipo de históia romântica irão adorar…eu adorei pelo menos.

This book is a book composed of 3 shorts stories interconnected by their characters, which happen on the same New Year’s Eve.

OBS: The book was not translated to English version yet, but we hope this might happen soon since the stories are too good to be read only in Portuguese.

Destiny turning

The first short story tells the story of Derek and Livie. Derek riding a bicycle runs over a girl unintentionally when he was trying to get to a party with his friend Al. Al will appear later in the third story. Livie works in a hospital and is almost coming off her shift to find a friend who has come from far to spend New Year’s Eve on Times Square, Summer. Summer will appear later in the book’s 2nd story.

The two will meet when Derek enters with the girl in the hospital asking for help, and Livie even having already finished her shift decides to stay to help in the case and because she can not take her eyes from Derek.

From this point on I won’t tell much because it would spoiler hehe … but I must comment that this is the most spicy short story of all, because it is stuffed with very daring  scenes. Particularly, it is not my favorite style, but for those who like it is a full plate.

Plans turning

In this short story we know the story of Summer and Reeve. Summer is lost in NYC without communication with her friend Livie, who would meet her in Times Square after her hospital shift. Reeve was just dumped by his girlfriend when he went to ask her to marry him.

The two run into each other in one of the city streets and this meeting will change the perspective they both had of their night as a lost night.

It reminded me a lot of that movie Before Sunrise because of the story dynamics. And it was certainly my favorite short story with the right romance measure mixed with a story that always makes you want to know more. In fact, I hope we can have a sequel about this one.

PS. Whoever reads the tale to the end will understand what I am talking about.

History turning

In this last short story we will know the story of Bliss and Al. Bliss has just discovered that she was being betrayed and is locked up at home until her friends drag her to a nearby bar. Al, who was waiting for Derek to go to a party, ends up seeing himself alone because Derek does not show up. He then goes to the same bar looking for something to spend the New Year’s Eve, and there he will find Bliss.

This story holds a very sweet secret and I’m sure that you who love this kind of romantic story will love it … I loved it at least.
