Os 27 Crushes de Molly – Becky Albertalli (The upside of unrequited)

Molly é uma menina que já teve muitos crushes, 26 deles mais precisamente. O problema é que todos foram platônicos. Molly nunca teve coragem de dar nenhum passo para saber se seu interesse seria correspondido ou não, pois como ela gosta de justificar uma”gordinha”  como ela precisa ser mais cautelosa nesses assuntos.

Isso começa a mudar quando a irmã gêmea de Molly, Cassie, começa a namorar.  Mina, namorada de Cassie tem um amigo super hipster  fofo que aparentemente pode estar interessado em Molly.  Molly curtiu o jeito dele. Mas será que Molly realmente está interessada nele?  Ultimamente ela só consegue pensar em Reid, o garoto que trabalha com ela. E ela nem sabe o porquê, já que ele é todo estranho, tem hobbies nerds extremamente excêntricos e gosto para tênis extremamente duvidoso.

Essa história é daquelas de dar um quentinho no coração e fazer você relembrar da sua adolescência (se claro, não estiver nela neste momento). É impossível não se identificar com as inseguranças de Molly, as quais todo bom adolescente sempre possui.

A cereja deste bolo fica por conta do imenso talento da Becky em incluir o máximo de representatividade possível no livro. Lendo a história senti todos os grupos e estilos que vejo por aí sendo representados. E o legal é que mesmo você não tendo o esteriótipo de um determinado personagem, você consegue se identificar em muitas situações que cada um deles passa.

Minha paixão do livro foi o Reid pois obviamente todo mundo sabe que euzona aqui tenho um crush não tão secreto por nerds.

Um livro excelente também para ser lido por quem quer treinar o inglês, já que a linguagem dele é bem básica e fácil de ser entendida. Vale a aventura. Super recomendo assim com o outro livro da Molly que já li, Simon vs a agenda homo sapiens

 

Molly is a girl who has had many crushes, 26 of them, more precisely. The problem is that they were all platonic crushes. Molly never had the courage to take any steps to discover if her feelings would be correspondend or not, and she likes to justify a “chubby” like her needs to be more cautious in these matters.

The situation begins to change when Molly’s twin sister, Cassie, starts dating. Mina, Cassie’s girlfriend has a cute super cute hipster friend who apparently may be interested in Molly. Molly liked him. But is Molly really interested in him? Lately she can only think of Reid, the boy who works with her. And she doesn’t even know why, since he’s all weird, has extremely eccentric nerd hobbies and extremely dubious tennis taste.

This story gives a warm in your heart and makes you remember your teenage years (of course, if you’re not in it right now). It is impossible not to identify with Molly’s insecurities, which every good teenager always has.

The cherry on this cake is for Becky’s immense talent for including so much representativity in the book. By reading the story I felt all the groups and styles I see around being represented. And the coolest thing is that even if you do not have the stereotype of a certain character, you can identify in many situations that each one of them is living.

My passion in the book was Reid because obviously everyone knows my not so secret crush  for nerds.

It’s worth the adventure, as well as the other book from Becky I already read, Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda.
