O Efeito Rosie – Graeme Simsion (The Rosie Effect)

OBS: Este livro é a continuação do livro O Projeto Rosie. Portanto se você não quiser spoilers a respeito dele é aconselhavel que você leia primeiro o outro livro depois volte aqui.

 

Quando soube da continuação eu mal pude esperar para botar minhas mãos no livro, mas assim que comecei a ler dei uma desempolgada porque fiquei meio puta com uma personagem e a reação de Don a ela. Isso me fez não querer ler a história mesmo querendo. Será que dá pra entende isso? hehehe
Rosie e Don estão morando em NYC. Don trabalhando em Columbia e Rosie terminando seu mestrado e estudando medicina quando ela descobre que está grávida. Don então sente necessidade de começar o Projeto Bebê para tentar lidar com a situação.
O fato de Don começar este projeto é que ele se acha incapaz de assumir o papel de pai com propriedade, e isso se deve ao episódio que eu citei que me deixou puta. Passado esse episódio o livro se desenvolve e enfim, eu gostei bastante da história pensando no conjunto.
Don tem novos amigos em NYC e assim como no primeiro livro as partes mais legais são justamente suas interações e pensamentos a respeito de outras pessoas. Ele é aquele tipo de personagem que não tem como não gostar a medida que você vai conhecendo. Aquela figura caricata que sempre que você ver algo similar vai lembrar dele. Eu sou suspeita para comentar a respeito pois adoro nerds, e Don Tilman é um autêntico nerdão.
A leitura do livro é rápida assim como na primeira parte e você vai terminar com coraçõezinhos nos olhos . Recomendo e muito, principalmente se você curtiu a primeira parte.

PS. Sobre o filme até agora nada de Don Tilman confirmado. Há especulações que Ryan Reynolds seria ele. Sei lá, eu não imagino o Don como o Ryan, mas como ele já me surpreendeu em outros filmes não vou falar nada da escolha antes de ver o filme.

Sobre o episódio que não curti no começo do livro foi toda a história do atum azul. Não pelo atum, mas pela reação idiota da mulher (Lydia) que fez com que Don ficasse achando que não tinha vocação para ser pai. Sei lá, eu achei a agressividade dela muito gratuita. Me doeu ver ela maltratando Don hehehe.

When I discovered about the sequence I could hardly wait to get my hands on the book, but once I started reading I was a bit disappointed because I was angry with a character and Don’s reaction to her. It made me not want to read the story even wanting. Can you to understand that? Hehehe
Rosie and Don are living in NYC. Don working in Columbia and Rosie finishing her master’s degree and studying in Med school when she discovers she is pregnant. Don then feels he needs to start the Baby Project to try to deal with the situation.
The fact that Don starts this project is that he believes he’s unable to assume the role of a father with property, and this is due to the episode I mentioned that pissed me off. After this episode the book develops and anyway, I quite liked the story thinking about the whole story.
Don has new friends in NYC and just as in the first book the coolest parts are precisely his interactions and thoughts about the others. He is the kind of character that you cannot help but like the more you know him. He’s that kind of nerd that whenever you see something similar you will remember him. I am suspected to comment about it because I love nerds and Don Tilman is an authentic big nerd.
The book reading is as fast as the first part and you will end up with little hearts in your eyes. And I totally recommend it , especially if you enjoyed the first part.

PS. About the movie so far nothing of Don Tilman confirmed. There is a speculation that Ryan Reynolds would play him. I do not know, I do not imagine Don like Ryan, but as he has surprised me in other films I will say nothing of the choice before seeing the film.

About the episode that I said I didn’t like early in the book it was the whole story of the blue tuna. Not because of the tuna, but because of the jerk reaction of that woman (Lydia) that made Don thinking he was not intended to be a father. I do not know, I found it very aggressively for nothing. I ached to see her mistreating Don hehehe.
