Um milhão de mundos com você – Claudia Gray (A Million Worlds With You)

 

Pessoal, este é o terceiro livro da trilogia Firebird. Já temos resenha dos dois primeiros aqui:  Mil pedaços de você e Dez mil céus sobre você.

Neste terceiro livro Marguerite descobre finalmente qual o grande plano por trás das ações de Wyatt Conley, e descobre também que ele não está sozinho. Ela irá ser perseguida por uma versão má sua de outro verse e  precisará agir rápido para conseguir neutralizar e tentar salvar todos os verses da destruição iminente que se encontram. Paul irá ajudá-la, mas ele sofrerá certas restrições devido aos efeitos colaterais de ter  tido sua alma dividida.

Um fechamento de trilogia simples porém que consegue entregar o que a autora se propôs. Vale a pena ler, principalmente se você for fã de histórias young adult com cenários inusitados.

A trilogia como um todo é bem legal, porém achei que o terceiro volume extenso demais.. Eu diria que foi o que menos gostei dos 3  embora o final conclua a história de uma forma OK.  Na verdade acho que a trilogia poderia ter sido uma doulogia, pois pra mim há muita coisa deste terceiro que poderia ser deixada de lado. De qualquer forma gostei bastante da forma da Claudia escrever e talvez eu me aventure em mais livros dela no futuro.

É aquele tipo de história ótima pra sair de ressacas literárias, pra relaxar, curtir férias sabe!?

 

PS. (com spoiler) adorei saber que o verse da Marguerite que acompanhamos não é o nosso verse. Nós achamos isso o tempo todo, até que no 3o volume aprendemos que os Beatles do verse dela tem uma música chamada Purple Submarine, e não Yellow como no nosso verse. Achei demais essa sacada da autora. Parabéns pela ideia Claudia!

 

Guys, this is the third book in the Firebird trilogy. We already have a review of the first two here: A thousand pieces of you and Ten thousand skies above you.

In this third book Marguerite finally discovers the great plan behind Wyatt Conley’s actions, and also discovers that he is not alone. She will be haunted by a bad version of herself from another verse and will need to act fast to neutralize and try to save all  verses from the impending destruction that lies upon them. Paul will help her, but with certain restrictions due to the side effects of having his soul divided.

A simple trilogy closing but that manages to deliver what the author has proposed. Worth reading, especially if you are a fan of young adult stories with unusual backgrounds.

The trilogy as a whole is pretty cool, but I thought the third volume too long .I would say it was the least liked of the 3 although the end is OK. Actually I think the trilogy could have been a duology , because there is a lot of this third that could be left out. Anyway I really liked the way Claudia wrote and  I’ll venture into more of her books in the future.

This is that kind of great story to get out of literary hangovers, to relax, enjoy vacations, you know !?

PS. (with spoiler) I loved to know that the Marguerite verse that we see on the book is not our verse. We think it is all the time, until in 3rd volume we learn that the Beatles from her verse have a song called Purple Submarine, not Yellow as in our verse. I thought it was pretty cool . Congratulations on the idea, Claudia!
