FEELING HOT – Elle Kennedy #3 Out of Uniform

A pergunta é dá pra melhorar o que já tava bom!? A resposta é mas é claro que sim! Ainda mais se estivermos falando de Elle Kennedy meus queridos amigos.

Eu juro que não canso de me impressionar com essa mulher. E nesse livro quando li os agradecimentos finais e vi que esta série foi uma das primeiras escritas por ela na vida, eu tive certeza de que vou ler absolutamente tudo que ela escreveu. Sabe por que? Porque vale a pena!!! Porque até o que deveria ter muita coisa a melhorar é ótimo! Porque me apeguei aos personagens da mesma maneira que me apeguei aos meninos do hockey. Gente, a Elle sabe prender o leitor no texto, e pra mim esta é uma das características mais maravilhosas que um escritor pode ter.

Mas falando do livro, este é o primeiro da série Out of Uniform que é um standalone, ou seja, teremos apenas uma história sendo contada no livro todo. Lembrando que os dois primeiros volumes organizados da série são coletâneas de contos, 3 em Hot & Bothered e mais 3 em Hot & Heavy.

Neste  terceiro livro iremos acompanhar  a história de Cash Mccoy, o SEAL que após Ryan ter saído do apartamento que dividia com Matt, acabou pegando sua vaga e  Jen Scott, irmã do Carson Scott (meu SEAL preferido do primeiro Hot & Bothered) que está com um stalker em sua cola.

A história começa com Cash indo a um barzinho após ter voltado de um assignment de 6 meses fora. Quando ele tenta fugir de umas meninas que não curte muito acaba entrando num armariozinho de produtos de limpeza onde dá de cara com uma moça que também está se escondendo lá. Essa moça é Jen Scott. A conversa dos dois ali acaba pegando fogo e eles quase transam no armário mesmo, mas infelizmente são interrompidos pelo tiozinho da limpeza que os expulsa de lá.

Cash pega o telefone de Jen para eles terminarem o q começaram mas ao sair do bar na chuva perde o número no papel que fica todo borrado. Alguns dias após esse incidente que o deixa todo arrasado, Cash aceita a pedido de Carson hospedar a irmã dele que está sendo alvo de um ex-namorado stalker (Matt vai ficar essas semanas com Savannah). E quando Jen chega no apartamento descobre que o companheiro de trabalho do irmão é o homem com quem ela está morrendo de vontade de transar desde o episódio do bar.

E aí que teremos Cash se metendo na maior enrascada já que quer muito ficar com Jen, porém foi ameaçado de todas as maneiras por Carson caso ele tentasse algo com a irmã dele. Quando Cash explica a situação para Jen e diz que não quer romper a promessa que fez a Carson por mais que queira ficar com ela, ela decide usar de todas as suas armas de sedução para seduzir Cash e provar a Carson que ele não manda em sua vida amorosa.

E gente, é totalmente hilário ver Cash tentando resistir ao irresistível. É risada atrás de risada. E claro, tenho que advertir que quando li que Jen teria um stalker, eu sabia que ele ia causar na vida dela. E sim ele não decepciona nesse quesito. Teremos muita treta envolvendo ele em todo livro, podem contar com isso.

E claro,o bônus da história pra mim foi ter tido mais um pouco do casal Carson e Holly principalmente, mas também de todos os outros SEALs que já conhecemos das histórias prévias. Está sendo muito legal acompanhar o desenvolvimento de todos os casais ao longo das novas histórias.

Recomendar o livro é pouco, eu recomendo a série toda, e olha que nem cheguei ao fim dela.

I swear I can’t get enough of being impressed by this woman. And when I read the final thanks and saw that this series was one of the first written by her in her life, I was sure that I will read absolutely everything she wrote. Do you know why? Because it’s worth it !!! Because even what should have a lot to improve is great! Because I got attached to the characters the same way I got attached to the hockey boys. Guys, Elle knows how to trap the reader in the text, and for me this is one of the most wonderful characteristics that a writer can have.

But speaking of the book, this is the first in the Out of Uniform series that is a standalone, so we will have only one story in the entire book. Recalling that the first two volumes of the series are collections of short stories, 3 in Hot & Bothered and 3 in Hot & Heavy.

In this third book we will follow the story of Cash Mccoy, the SEAL who after Ryan left the apartment he shared with Matt, ended up taking his place, and Jen Scott, Carson Scott’s little sister (my favorite SEAL from the first Hot & Bothered) who is being chased by a stalker.

The story begins with Cash going to a bar after returning from a 6-month assignment. When he tries to run away from some girls he doesn’t like much, he ends up entering a small cleaning products closet where he meets a girl who is also hiding there. That girl is Jen Scott. Their conversation ends up on fire and they almost have sex in the closet, but unfortunately they are interrupted by the cleaning guy who throws them out.

Cash takes Jen’s phone so they can finish what they started but when he leaves the bar in the rain he loses her number on the paper that is all smudged. A few days after this incident that devastated him, Cash accepts a Carson’s request to host his sister who is being targeted by a stalker  who is her ex-boyfriend (Matt will be spending these weeks with Savannah). And when Jen arrives at the apartment she finds out that her brother’s co-worker is the man she’s been dying to have sex with since the bar episode.

We will then have Cash getting in the biggest trouble since he really wants to be with Jen, but he was threatened in every way by Carson if he tried anything with his sister. When Cash explains the situation to Jen and says he doesn’t want to break the promise he made to Carson no matter how much he wants to be with her, she decides to use all of her weapons of seduction to seduce Cash and prove to Carson that he doesn’t rule her. love life.

And folks, it’s totally hilarious to see Cash trying to resist the irresistible. It’s laughter after laughter. Of course, I have to warn you that when I read that Jen would have a stalker, I knew he was going to cause a lot of trouble in her life. And yes he does not disappoint in that regard. We will have a lot of bullshit involving him thoughout the book, you can count on that.

And of course, the bonus of the story for me was having a little more of Carson and Holly as a couple mainly, but also to have all the other SEALs that we already know from the previous stories. It’s been really cool to follow the development of all couples throughout the new stories presented.

Recommend the book is not enough, I recommend the whole series, and you see, I haven’t even reached the end of it.
