Último da série After Hours, os primeiros são One night of Sin e One night of Scandal.

E neste último iremos finalmente conhecer a história do terceiro dono da Sin, AJ (Adam James – amo esse nome!)

Já havíamos acompanhado nos outros livros que AJ sempre foi o cara certinho, que sempre namorou meninas modelo, porém nunca deu certo com nenhuma. E agora entenderemos os motivos para tal. E acreditem é um motivo bem do complexo!

Quando ele vê Brett um dia na Sin fica total impressionado por ela. Acontece que ela é uma mulher totalmente diferente de qualquer mulher que AJ tenha ficado antes, e por conta da interação que os dois tem onde Brett é super grossa com ele e parece o conhecer ele fica compelido a descobrir seus motivos e conhecê-la melhor.

AJ acaba descobrindo então que Brett estudou com ele na mesma escola, mas estava alguns anos antes dele. Seu irmão era da sala de AJ. E a raiva toda era porque as amigas cheerleaders de AJ praticavam bullying contra ela e AJ nunca fez nada para defender.

AJ vai explicar que na verdade ele não notava quando isso acontecia e diferenças resolvidas o que vai sobrar é a grande atração de um pelo outro no ar, e no fim das contas Brett vai acabar aceitando sair com AJ aquela noite porque quem do colégio não sonharia em sair com o cara gato desses? (Eu sairia! hehehe)

O grande problema é que no dia seguinte o irmão de Brett vai entrar em seu apto sem avisar e dar de cara com AJ, digamos um pouco sem roupa. Brett desesperada pra manter a boa impressão no irmão e na família acaba mentindo para ele e falando que começou a namorar seu velho amigo do colégio a pouquíssimo tempo e ia contar pra eles logo.

Por conhecer AJ, seu irmão acaba comprando a história, principalmente quando AJ entra no jogo e confirma tudo.

Mais tarde Brett explica toda sua viada zuada para AJ e porque ela está tentando mostrar pro pai e irmãos que consegue levar uma vida normal para ter chance de gerenciar o próximo estúdio de tatuagem que sua família pretende abrir.

AJ vai topar prorrogar a mentira do namoro por mais um tempo, mas claro né gente que essa mentira vai virar um caso de amor verdadeiro, e vai mexer com as estruturas de ambos.

Brett vai desenterrar todos os fantasmas do armário de AJ, e vice versa, e teremos um fim que posso dizer vai nos trazer personagens mais desenvolvidos emocionalmente que no começo dessa história. É super fofo e eu adorei. É talvez o que mais gostei da série…será!?

De qualquer forma recomendo a leitura da série toda. Aquele tipo de história perfeita pra passar horas agradáveis e quentes.

And in this last one we’ll finally get to know the story of Sin’s third owner, AJ (Adam James – love that name!)

We had already seen in other books that AJ was always the right guy, who always dated model girls, but never worked out with any of them. And now we will understand the reasons for this. And believe me it’s a good and complex reason!

When he sees Brett one day at Sin he is totally impressed by her. Turns out she’s a totally different woman than any woman AJ has been with before, and because of the interaction the two have where Brett is super angry with him and seems to get to know him he’s compelled to find out her motives and get to know her better.

AJ then discovers that Brett studied with him at the same school, but was a few years younger than him. His brother was from AJ’s class. And the whole rage was because AJ’s cheerleader friends bullied her and AJ never did anything to defend.

AJ will explain that he actually didn’t notice it and differences resolved what will be left is the great attraction to each other in the air, and in the end Brett will end up agreeing to go out with AJ that night because who in high school wouldn’t dream on going out with that hot guy? (I would for sure! hehehe)

The big problem is that the next day Brett’s brother will enter her apartment unannounced and bump into AJ, let’s say a little undressed. Brett, desperate to keep a good impression on her brother and family, ends up lying to him and saying that she started dating her old friend from high school very recently and was going to tell them soon.

Knowing AJ, his brother ends up buying the story, especially when AJ enters the game and confirms everything.

Later Brett explains her whole messed up previous life to AJ and why she’s trying to show her father and brothers that she can lead a normal life for a chance to manage the next tattoo studio her family plans to open.

AJ is going to agree to extend the dating lie for a while, but of course, as you might know people, this lie will turn into a true love affair, and it will shake the structures of both.

Brett is going to reveal all the ghosts in AJ’s closet, and vice versa, and we’ll have an ending that I can say will bring us more emotionally developed characters than at the beginning of this story. It’s super cute and I loved it. It’s maybe the oneI liked the most in the series…not sure yet.

Anyway, I recommend you guys reading the whole series. That kind of story perfect for spending nice, hot hours.
