O povo pediu e Elle Kennedy finalmente atendeu.

When we read the last two books from the Off-Campus series, The Score and The Goal, we really want to know more about Fitzy, one of the boys’ friends – especially Tucker and Dean, and Dean’s sister Summer.

People asked and Elle Kennedy finally answered. And best of all, instead of a spin-off, we’ll have a spin-off series.
In this first one,  we will discover that Summer was expelled from Brown and is going to study at Briar. With no place to live she ends up sharing the house her brother lived with three more boys from the hockey team, Fitzy, Hunter and Hollis.

In New Year’s eve, when everybody is at a party in NYC, she’s excited to meet Fitzy again, but after hearing his conversation with Garret,  she totally gives up on the idea of trying to kiss him because she finds out he thinks she’s a shallow clueless girl.

Back to college when classes start, she and Fitzy, living in the same house, will argue and discuss a lot with each other, and at one point Fitzy will understand the reason for all the misunderstadings.

We will also have a teacher with a very strange attitude towards Summer (this story I believe is kind of predictable) and also the introduction of Brenna, which in addition to being the daughter of the hockey coach’s team becomes Summer’s best friend.

Overall the story is pretty cool, and I highly recommend it, but I confess I was surprised by the level of complexity of both characters. Folks, Fitzy is a really complex dude, and like Summer is too! You have no idea! Perhaps this has contributed to a much slower pace of events compared to thebooks before it.

Anyway, I’m super interested in reading the rest of the spin-off books and reading more of Elle’s stuff. I very much loved her casual, polite, brief manner to write.

PS: The two first books from the Off- Campus series are The Deal and The mistake.
