XO, Zach – Kendall Ryan

Gente, tô me apaixonando pela Kendall do mesmo jeito que me apaixonei pela Elle Kennedy. Sério, não consigo entender porque as editoras daqui estão marcando e ainda não lançaram mais traduções dos títulos delas.
Esse é o quarto livro que leio dela (vou deixar os links dos livros que já fiz resenha aí embaixo) e só penso que quero ler mais e mais. Eles são aqueles romances bem construídos saca!? Temos o romance como tema central, porém sempre (pelo menos dos que li até agora) temos também várias outras questões bem interessantes sendo abordadas em órbita a ele, o que pra mim faz a história se encaixar completamente no meu gosto preferido hehehe.
Poppy acaba de entrar num programa de mestrado numa nova Universidade, e ela fica chocada quando descobre que seu orientador é nada mais nada menos que o cara que ela implorou num bar no fim de semana para fingir ser seu namorado e com isso mostrar para seu ex que ela já o tinha superado. E esse cara, meus amigos, é o Zach do título.
A química dos dois obviamente tinha batido desde o bar, porém Poppy não quis deixar contato com Zach justamente porque não queria mergulhar em outro relacionamento agora, especialmente por conta do segredo que ela carrega em sua vida. Zach não sabe disso, e irá tentar de todas as maneiras seduzí-la, já que ele não vê problema algum nos dois se relacionarem.
Coisas fofas acontecem, como os bilhetinhos que ele começa a enfiar na bolsa de Poppy toda vez que tem uma oportunidade, e Poppy, claro, ama os recados, mas não faz ideia que as palavras que ela tanto ama vem do mesmo cara super direto com relação a tudo que quer fazer com ela. Ele é muito desbocado e sincerão, e Poppy por conta do seu segredo, acaba levando tudo mais a sério, e meio que acredita que o que ele quer com ela é apenas físico.
Vamos acompanhar como esses dois vão se entender e como vão conseguir arrumar a situação incômoda que fica com a relação a faculdade e como irão lidar com o tal segredo. Basicamente é isso tentando resumir muito resumido o livro. Mass ele é tão mais que isso! Como disse, os detalhes/extras/chamem como quiserem fazem muita diferença.
Recomendo muito a leitura, e aqui vai uma dica: assine as newsletters das autoras. Eu assino da Kendall e da Elle e já ganhei vários ebooks free. Elas vivem colocando os títulos dela de presente ou mesmo avisando quando estão mega baratos ou free na Amazon também. Vale muito a pena se você que livros em inglês pra treinar e não tem dinheiro para gastar com isso. O vocabulário das histórias que li são super de boa, e se você lê no kindle ainda tem aquele módulo de ajuda do dicionário, onde você inevitavelmente acaba conhecendo mais palavras.
Guys, I’m falling in love with Kendall the way I fell in love with Elle Kennedy. Seriously, I can not understand why the publishers here (in Brazil) haven’t yet released more translations of her books.
This is the fourth book I read from her (I’ll leave the links of the books I’ve reviewed below) and I just think I want to read more and more. They are those well-constructed romances, you know. We have romance as a central theme, but always (at least the ones I read so far) we also have several other interesting questions being addressed in orbit to the romance, which for me makes the story fit completely in my favorite taste hehehe.
Poppy has just entered a masters program at a new university, and she is shocked to discover that her mentor is nothing less than the guy she begged at a bar over the weekend to pretend to be her boyfriend so she could show her ex that she was over him. And this guy, my friends, is the tguy from the title, Zach.
Their chemistry had obviously hit the bar, but Poppy did not want to get in touch with Zach just because she did not want to dive into another relationship right now, especially because of the secret she carries in her life. Zach does not know this, and will try to seduce her anyway possible, since he sees no problem in the two of them relating.
Cute things happen, like the little notes he starts shoving in Poppy’s purse every time he gets a chance, and Poppy, of course, loves the scraps, but she has no idea that the words she loves so much comes from the same super-straight guy with about everything he wants to do with her. He is very outspoken and sincere, and Poppy because of her secret, ends up taking everything more seriously, and kind of believes that what he wants with her is only physical.
We’ll follow how these two will end up managing to be with each other and how they will manage the troublesome situation that remains with the college relationship and how they will deal with that secret. Basically, trying to summarize the book in really fews words, this is the whole story. Butttt the story itself is so much more than that! As I said, the details / extras / call what you want make a lot of difference.
I highly recommend the reading, and here’s a tip: sign the authors’ newsletters. I subscribed to Kendall and Elle’s pages and I have already won several free ebooks. They always send some of their titles as gifts or even let you know when they are super cheap or free on Amazon. It’s worth it if you want English books to train (if you’re learning English as a second language of course) and you do not have the money to spend on it. The vocabulary of the stories I read are super OK, and if you read in kindle there’s still that help module in the dictionary, where you inevitably end up knowing more words.
