MOTIVOS PARA GOSTAR DE UM LIVRO

E aqui vamos nós enumerar motivos que nos fazem gostar dos livros que lemos.

Como a Maitê tem o gosto muitíssimo parecido com o meu, nó fizemos a lista meio que juntas, já que os motivos para amarmos livros acabam sendo quase que os mesmos.

Aqui no blog comentarei apenas minhas impressões, então caso vocês queiram comentários dela aconselho que assistam ao vídeo, ok!?

Creio que o primeiro ingrediente para me fazer curtir um livro seja o estilo de escrita do autor.  E não falo aqui de linguagem rebuscada nem nada disso, mas sim daquele poder que a pessoa tem em te prender ao texto dela, em fazer você não ficar em paz enquanto não termina ele. Isso dá tesão na leitura. Isso talvez seja o ingrediente principal dentre todos os outros motivos para que eu acabe gostando de um livro, pois ele tem o poder de anular coisas que eu talvez não curta na história.

Algo que também ajuda muito na soma dos motivos para que eu curta um livro é não saber o que esperar do seu final. Gosto que o autor me surpreenda mesmo que seja um livro com uma história clichê, há sempre espaço para surpresas e nós aqui gostamos muito delas.

Encontrar experiências pessoais dentro do livro que estou lendo aumenta demais a probabilidade de eu gostar da história, e quanto maiores as semelhanças maior a probabilidade dela ficar guardada no meu coração. Tenho isso com Harry Potter, Fangirl, Mentira Perfeita, Orgulho e Preconceito, Jane Eyre… enfim, a lista de livros os quais eu me reconheço em personagens ou situações é enorme e talvez assunto para um post mais pessoal algum dia.

O livro também precisa ser objetivo. Adoro aquele tipo que consegue ter a dose certa de diálogos e descrições, que não precisam ser usadas em demasia. Os capítulos precisam ser curtos. Não há necessidade de algo com 2 páginas mas também capítulos 20 páginas já me deixam cansada e por vezes me fazem perder o interesse em continuar a leitura.

E nada de deixar pontas soltas na história. Se você autor me mostra o bracelete x nos primeiros capítulos e dá certa ênfase nisso, o mínimo que espero é uma conclusão que vá me explicar porque aquele objeto foi enfatizado mais cedo na história.  Aliás, livros em que aqueles detalhes que passam despercebidos no início e meio da história são resgatados para tecerem a conclusão me deixam muito feliz. É o tipo de livro que geralmente vai me conquistar.

Mas claro, tudo isso aí de cima se somado a um romance vai com certeza resultar em sucesso maior ainda aqui no meu coração. Pode ser thriller, pode ser investigação, pode ser aventura, sci-fi, fantasia, enfim, qualquer tipo de livro fica melhor se tiver um romance no meio dele. Portanto,  livros em que o romance seja o foco também tem grande chances de cair nas minhas graças contanto que esse romance seja desenvolvido de uma maneira crível e que não haja nenhuma das características que me fazem descurtir um livro, há grandes possibilidades dele entrar pro meu hall memorável de melhores livros da vida.

E é isso pessoal, basicamente essas são as características que irão me fazer curtir muito um livro quando eu o leio. Ah, devo mencionar que há exceções para essas regras, principalmente se o estilo do autor for bom. Novamente, isso seria assunto para um novo post onde eu poderia citar livros que eu deveria ter odiado mas amei rs…talvez eu ainda faça essa lista.

I believe that the first ingredient to make me enjoy a book is the author’s writing style. And I do not speak here of elaborate language or anything like that, but of that power that the person has in attaching you to his/her text, in making you not be in peace until you finish it. It makes reading exciting. This is perhaps the main ingredient among all the other reasons why I end up liking a book, because it has the power to cancel things that I may not like in the story.

Something that also helps a lot in adding up the reasons for me to enjoy a book is not knowing what to expect from its end. I like when the author surprises me. Even if it is a book with a cliché story, there is always room for surprises and we like them very much here.

Finding personal experiences within the book I am reading greatly increases the likelihood that I like the story, and the greater the similarities the greater the likelihood that it will be kept in my heart. I have that with Harry Potter, Fangirl, Mentira Perfeita, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre … anyway, the list of books that I recognize myself in characters or situations is huge and maybe the subject for a more personal post someday.

The book must also be objective. I love that author who manages to have the right dose of dialogue and description, which doesn’t need to be overused. Chapters need to be short. There is no need for something with 2 pages but also 20 page chapters already make me tired and sometimes make me lose interest in continuing reading.

And  please no letting loose ends in the story. If you author show me the bracelet x in the first chapters and put some emphasis on it, the least I hope is a conclusion that will explain why that object was emphasized earlier in the story. In fact, books in which those details that go unnoticed at the beginning and middle of the story are rescued to explain the conclusion make me very happy. It’s the kind of book that will usually win me over.

But of course, all of that up there if added to a romance will surely result in even greater success here in my heart. It can be a thriller, it can be an investigatigation, it can be adventure, sci-fi, fantasy, in short, any type of book is better if you have a romance in the middle of it. Therefore, books in which the romance is the focus also have a great chance of getting into my favorites as long as this romance is developed in a credible way and that there are none of the characteristics that make me dislike a book, there are great chances of it entering into my memorable hall of life’s best books.

And that’s it guys, basically these are the characteristics that will make me really enjoy a book when I read it. Ah, I must mention that there are exceptions to these rules, especially if the author’s style is good. Again, that would be the subject of a new post where I could quote books that I should have hated but loved lol … maybe I’ll still make this list.
