Taking His Shot – Kendall Ryan #7 Hot Jocks Series

Kendall fechou com chave de ouro essa série, pois a história de Taking His Shot não poderia ter sido mais fofa.

Jordie com certeza está entre os queridinhos da série, que já vou avisando vou ser incapaz de escolher um preferido, tanto livro quanto galã. Sério gente, o negócio é that good, eu amei a série toda! E não entendo como nenhuma editora aqui no Brasil ainda não comprou os direitos pra traduzir isso. Hello there, vocês estão marcando!

Tudo vai começar quando Harper, filha do técnico dos meninos do time de Seattle, vai substituir a moça que iria ser a princesa de um evento/leilão beneficiente. O leilão é um date com essa princesa, e Jordie aposta com os garotos do time que consegue o date e fazer a mocinha se apaixonar por ele.

Claro que quando ele vai cobrar o seu date após vencer o leilão vai descobrir que Harper é filha de seu coach, mas algo no jeito dela, sua displicência para com o fato dele ser um jogador já que ela conviveu com vários a vida toda chama demais a atenção de Jordie e ele insiste em realmente ter seu date.

Mas Harper não dá a mínima para ele e toda vez ou todo dia que Jordie sugere algo ela prontamente diz ter outros compromissos.

Jordie então inconformado com o não começa a tentar fazer os mesmo programas de Harper, para que a cada encontro ele tente convencê-la a sair com ele. Ele se voluntaria em abrigo de animais, e chega ao ponto de montar um clube do livro com os outros meninos só para encontrar com Harper. (Gente, essa parte foi a mais engraçada e  melhor do livro todo!! Especialmente pq teremos eles dois discutindo cenas hot do livro, imaginem isso!)

O tempo passa e Harper acaba cedendo e dando a Jordie sua chance, e claro que os dois vão começar a se conectar e tudo mais que a gente ama num romance.

Achei a história a mais simples da série porém a que você mais consegue se conectar com a relação dos dois sabe, pois até mesmo as cenas hot entre eles são super a vida como ela é. Você com certeza vai se indentificar com alguma. Jordie é aquele tipo que super encoraja Harper a tentar seguir os sonhos dela e fazer coisas que ela acha relevante. O que me leva a dizer que não dá pra não se apaixonar por um cara assim né!?

Já adianto antes de terminar a resenha que aquela aposta besta do Jordie vai causar problema hehehe, mas acalmem-se que tudo dará certo e teremos nosso final feliz merecido com direito a revisitarmos todos os casais dos outros livros: Playing for Keeps, All The Way, Trying to Score, Crossing The Line, The Bedroom Experiment, Down And Dirty, Wild For You.

Se vocês estão procurando por uma série amorzinho do começo ao fim e que tenham aqueles jogadores de hockey que você fica maluca, deem uma chance para essa série que vocês não irão se arrepender.

Jordie is certainly among my crushes of the series, which I will warn you that I won’t be unable to choose a favorite, neither a book nor a crush. Seriously guys, the thing is that I loved the whole series! And I don’t understand how no publisher here in Brazil bought the rights to translate this yet.

It will all start when Harper, daughter of the Seattle boys’ coach, will replace the girl who would be the princess of a charity event / auction. The auction is a date with this princess, and Jordie bets with the boys on the team that he would get the date and make the girl fall in love with him.

Of course, when he goes to claim his date after winning the auction he will discover that Harper is the daughter of his coach, but something in her way, her carelessness with the fact that he is a player since she has lived with many players around all her life calls too much Jordie’s attention and he insists on actually having his date.

But Harper doesn’t give a damn about him and every time or every day that Jordie suggests something she promptly says she has other commitments.

Jordie then, not accepting a no as an answer, starts trying to do the same appointments as Harper, so that at each meeting he tries to convince her to go out with him. He volunteers at the animal shelter, and even goes so far as to set up a book club with the other boys only to meet Harper. (Guys, that part was the funniest and best part of the whole book !! Especially because we will have them both discussing hot scenes from the book, imagine that!)

Time passes and Harper ends up giving in and giving Jordie his chance, and of course the two will start to connect and everything else that we love in a romance.

I thought that this story was the simplest of the series but the one that you can most connect with the relationship of the two you know, because even the hot scenes between them are super life as it is. You will definitely identify yourself with some. Jordie is the guy who super encourages Harper to try to follow her dreams and do things that she finds relevant. Which leads me to say that you can’t not help falling in love with a guy like that, right !?

I’ll say before finishing the review that that stupid bet Jordie did will cause some trouble, but calm down that everything will work out and we will have our deserved happy ending with the right to revisit all the couples from the other books:  Playing for Keeps, All The Way, Trying to Score, Crossing The Line, The Bedroom Experiment, Down And Dirty, Wild For You.

If you are looking for a love series from beginning to end and that have those hockey players that drive you crazy, give this series a chance and you will not regret.
