1. O melhor livro que você leu até agora, em 2019.

Essa vai ficar com Verity da rainha Colleen Hoover.

2. A melhor continuação que você leu até agora, em 2019.
Com certeza foi Nós da Elle Kennedy & Sarina Bowen. Esse livro é infinitamente melhor que o Ele, o primeiro, e só faz você se apaixonar ainda mais tanto pelo Wes quanto pelo Jamie.

3. Algum lançamento do primeiro semestre que você ainda não leu, mas quer muito.
Fodeu Geral do Mark Manson, mas já comecei a ler então em breve faço resenha.

4. O livro mais aguardado do segundo semestre.
Affe, terei que falar 2, os quais já comprei na pré-venda: The play da Elle Kennedy, que sai em outubro, e o Regretting You da Colleen Hoover que sai em dezembro. Presentes de niver e Natal respectivamente

5. O livro que mais te decepcionou esse ano.
O segundo livro da série After, pois é uma enrolação do início ao fim. Aliás, eu diria que os livros 2,3 e 4 podem entrar nessa categoria. Caso vocês queiram saber mais eu fiz vídeo falando sobre a série toda e também sobre a adaptação do primeiro livro para o cinema.

6. O livro que mais te surpreendeu esse ano.
Pra não falar Verity de novo vou citar o Vem comigo da Karma Brown que me deixou de queixo caído quando li o final.

7. Novo autor favorito (que lançou seu primeiro livro nesse semestre, ou que você conheceu recentemente).
Acho que aqui vou ter que citar a Penelope Ward. Eu já conhecia de tanto me falarem dela mas nunca tinha pegado nada para ler. Agora em junho li Meu querido meio irmão, e olha, a surpresa foi tão favorável que já li o segundo livro dela em menos de um mês. Já já teremos resenha do Querido Vizinho no blog também.

8. A sua quedinha por personagem fictício mais recente.
Acho que a última desse primeiro semestre foi o Blake Riley da série spin-off de Ele. Sério gente, ele passou de personagem mala pra personagem mais fofo ever de Nós  para Good Boy.

9. Seu personagem favorito mais recente.
Acho que Jamie da série Ele. Eu gostei muito da personalidade e de todo cenário de descoberta que temos nesse personagem. Ele é apaixonante e você consegue se colocar no lugar dele em muitos dos problemas que ele enfrenta, principalmente no livro do Nós.

10. Um livro que te fez chorar nesse primeiro semestre.
Five Feet Apart. Impossível ler e não derramar uma lágrima. Eu confesso que quando vi o filme não chorei pois já havia lido o livro, mas no livro, minha nossa, não teve como segurar. Que história linda e tocante!

11. Um livro que te deixou feliz nesse primeiro semestre.
Professor Feelgood da Leisa Rayven. Adorei mais que o Mr Romance pois o Professor escrevia poesias gente. Me pegou aí. E o livro é muito pegada comédia romântica, o que me fez dar muitas risadas e encher meu coraçãozinho de amor. Felicidade pura e genuína.

12. Melhor adaptação cinematográfica de um livro que você assistiu até agora, em 2019.
Eu vi 2, Five Feet Apart e After. Sem dúvida fico com Five Feet Apart, embora eu saiba q o filme deu origem ao livro e não o contrário.
After filme é apenas um filme ok levemente inspirado na série, o que é bom por um lado já que não temos toda aquela parte abusiva sendo revivida.

13. Sua resenha favorita desse primeiro semestre (escrita ou em vídeo).
Vou citar o vídeo que fiz com meu marido sobre os quadrinhos do Thor Ragnarok aqui, para o projeto de mitologia Nórdica da Lu Evans (obrigada pelo convite Lu!) pois eu adorei gravar com ele. Adoro discutir temas nerds, e adoro ainda mais quando o faço junto com ele. Uma pena o bichinho ser todo tímido pra gravar vídeos, senão vocês o veriam mais no canal.

14. O livro mais bonito que você comprou ou ganhou esse ano.
A capa que mais gostei desse primeiro semestre não foi nem comprada nem ganhada, foi emprestada, e é o Uma curva no tempo da Dani Atkins que emprestei da Ari. Obrigada Ari! 😉

15. Quais livros você precisa ou quer muito ler até o final do ano?
Na esperança de completar a releitura de As brumas de Avalon com meu clube do livro e quem sabe tirar do papel o projeto de ler o Morro dos Ventos Uivantes com a Mi para fazermos mais um vídeo conjunto.

 

1. The best book you’ve read so far, in 2019.
This one’s is definitely going to be Verity from Queen Colleen Hoover.

2. The best sequel you’ve read so far, in 2018.
It was definitely Us from Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen. This book is infinitely better than Him, the first, and it only makes you fall in love even more with Wes and Jamie.

3. Some 1st semester release that you have not yet read, but you want really want to read.
Everything is F*cked Up from Mark Manson, but I already started to read so soon I’ll make a review.

4. The most anticipated book of the second semester.
I’ll have to say 2, which I already ordered on pre-sale: The play by Elle Kennedy, coming out in October, and Colleen Hoover’s Regretting You coming out in December. Gifts for my birthday and Christmas respectively

5. The book that most disappointed you this year.
The second book in the After series, because it’s a nothing happens from beginning to end. By the way, I would say that books 2,3 and 4 may fall into this category.

6. The book that surprised you the most this year.
Not to mention Verity again I will quote the Come away with me from Karma Brown that left my jaw dropped when I read the ending.

7. New favorite author (who released his first book this semester, or who you’ve met recently).
I think I’m gonna have to choose Penelope Ward here. I already knew her by people’s comments but I had never taken anything to read until this semester. Now in June I read Stepbrother Dearest, and look, the surprise was so good that I’ve read her second book in less than a month.

8. Your most recent fictional crush for a character.
I think the last one of this first half was Blake Riley from the spin-off series of Him. Seriously people, he went from the annoying character  to the cutest character ever from Us to Good Boy.

9. Your most recent favorite character.
I think Jamie from Him series. I really liked the personality and every scenario of discovery that we have in this character. He is passionate and you can put yourself in his place on many of the problems he faces, especially on US book.

10. A book that made you cry in the first semester.
Five Feet Apart. Impossible to read and end it up without dropping a tear. I confess that when I saw the film I did not cry because I had read the book, but in the book I couldn’t help it. What a beautiful and touching story!

11. A book that made you happy this first semester.
Professor Feelgood of Leisa Rayven. I loved it more than Mr Romance because the Professor writes poetry. And he got me there, cause I love poetry. And the book is very much caught up in romantic comedy, which made me laugh a lot and fill my little heart with love. Pure and genuine happiness.

12. Best film adaptation of a book you’ve watched so far in 2018.
I saw 2, Five Feet Apart and After. No doubt I choose Five Feet Apart, although I know that the film gave rise to the book and not the other way around.
After film is just an OK slightly inspired movie, which is good somehow since we do not have all that abusive part being revived.

13. Your favorite review of this first semester (written or on video).
I’ll say the video I made with my husband about Thor Ragnarok’s comics  for Lu Evans’s Nordic Mythology project (thanks for the invitation Lu!) Because I loved to record with him. I love discussing nerd themes, and I love it even more when I do it with him. It’s a shame that my husband is all shy to record videos, otherwise you’d see him more in the channel.

14. The most beautiful book you bought or won this year.
The cover I enjoyed most of this first semester was neither bought nor won, it was borrowed, and it’s Fractured by Dani Atkins I borrowed from Ari. Thank you Ari! 😉

15. What books do you need or want to read a lot by the end of the year?
Hoping to complete the re-reading of The Mists of Avalon with my book club and maybe to read Wuthering Heights with Mi to make another video together.
